Is the US government is subject to the will of the majority of people? Could it then be reasoned that the will of the majority has the power, or at least the majority of the power? If the American culture is fairly homogenious, then wouldn't it reason that the will of the people would have a large sway on the government? I do believe that the American culture is vary homogenious relative to countries such as Chad. I do believe that American society is largely Christian. Does rielegion not have a heavy sway on the wills of its foloweres? If the will of the people (remainders being inconsicuential), does it not reason that the US government is a theocrassy? If I wish to sway the people to my will should I not thus seek to become know as a leader of a Christian morals? Would I want to emphasise my Christianity to gain sway over the minds of those I wish to make subject to my will? Do you think America is a free and democratic society?

Should America send in a few nuclear powered aircraft carriers to the coast of the United kingdom and make Britain give Scotland its rightfully deserved independence from imperialist Britain.

Would the Scotish like America to force britain to relinquish its death grip on Scotland. I for one think - with American firepower - Scotland would be liberated in a matter of hours. Britain would fall quickly and Scotland would be free!

What say you?

Congress approved the bill requiring the states to issue new driver's licenses, and more proof of ID in order to get a new licenses. How will we know when we can get those licenses? They are going to be required in order to board a commercial flight, and since I am flying to Florida next February, I don't want this to hold me up.

I think we should get closer to countries like France, Germany, India, and China. I think it's best for our future! Wot about you? Do you think there is something with our governments closeness with the U.S.A, like a catch or something we can gain that they don't know? and do you like it our close relationship?

but I honestly think that Britain and America will grow apart in the near future...

Isn't it just.. "THE MEDIA"??

I guess when you make mistake after mistake and THE MEDIA reports it you have to defend yourself some way.

The best way I can think of would be to create your own news channel say that it is "fair and balenced" and then use it against your political opposition. Create nasty names for them like "liberal" so that you can use your media machine to control the people's minds and free thought. All day you could pound the people's political will into thier heads without regard for truth or REAL debate. They could say that anyone who opposes them is unpatriotic, cowardly, weak, feeble. They might then create the "liberal media" by saying the word over and over again.

The Bush Administration and Fox News Channel are so much like the "Big Brother" from the book 1984 that it is actually scary.. I could draw so many comparisons from restricting civil liberties, to fear campagins, it is really scary.

You people are such sheep! Follow the light!

The man is a great talent, orator, and polititian.

I cannot understand why some people are so afraid of this man.

Most conservatives don't know anything about him but they have been:

Calling him a muslim (who cares, ever hear of separation of church and state? And he is a CHRISTIAN anyway)

Refering to the fact that his name sounds like Osama like this is supposed to be a bad thing (it has no bearing on a real political arguement!!)

Refering to the fact that his middle name is Hussien (Once again, it is his middle name, he was given the name by his parents! Not relevent to any political arguement!!)

Please tell me why any of this matters when the man is a completely benevolent leader that wants and knows how to achieve what is best for this country!

In regards to the extremely low drop in market. He claims this has no reflection of our current economy, he stated that it was a simple market correction, and our economy is doing just fine. Do you truly believe this mans words or not?

I believe American government has reached a point where the traditional 2 party system is actually hurting us as a country more than it is helping. So much focus and emphasis is placed upon the implications of a candidates affiliation that the actual point of politics and government becomes lost. The point of government is to serve it's citizens, but how can any one candidate really make that a priority when he (or she) is automatically shackled to the party they are aligned with. I know we have our independent party runners, but they are never a factor and rarely taken seriously. So, can America adapt and evolve past this rut??

What with modern research and tools, it seems to me that government is extremely dangerous now. Is there a limit to its evil? Or will our future be quite terrifying and bloody?

Is this just the Army's way of showing they are efforting to make it appear they are fixing the problem, or are they really now trying to support our injured troops?

BTW
Way to go Keith Olberman's Countdown On MSNBC and CNN coverage of this travesty!

First he gets Bill O'reilly ousted from his fundraising gig after he opened his mouth about O'nutcase sticking his foot in his mouth,

THEN he spanks secretary Rice about her comments on Fox this past Sunday, which makes her conceed her remarks could have been spoken better,

But now, General of Walter Reed fired because of all the exposure, and not just the outting of the problem, but the follow up 2 or 3 days ago, where the army tried to punish the soldiers who spoke up by making INJURED soldiers wake up and form up at 0600.

I love this guy!

Your thoughts!
