Isn't it just.. "THE MEDIA"??

I guess when you make mistake after mistake and THE MEDIA reports it you have to defend yourself some way.

The best way I can think of would be to create your own news channel say that it is "fair and balenced" and then use it against your political opposition. Create nasty names for them like "liberal" so that you can use your media machine to control the people's minds and free thought. All day you could pound the people's political will into thier heads without regard for truth or REAL debate. They could say that anyone who opposes them is unpatriotic, cowardly, weak, feeble. They might then create the "liberal media" by saying the word over and over again.

The Bush Administration and Fox News Channel are so much like the "Big Brother" from the book 1984 that it is actually scary.. I could draw so many comparisons from restricting civil liberties, to fear campagins, it is really scary.

You people are such sheep! Follow the light!

I used the term Conservatards because:

1)I would get peoples attention
2)I saw someone use the term Libertard or something like that and thought it might be a nice jab back at them..

I dont really mean it.

I agree with some conservative ideas and I think that some conservativism is important. But I hate the propaganda like FOX News, Rush, Imus etc.. I used to watch FOX News just to laugh at all the blatent biases and misleading information.. Those people are really sick..

cbtbcd12,

Could it be that the media is perceived as liberal by the FOX News watchers because the people who write, read, watch this media agree with the more liberal facts.

It is part of the propaganda.

Hermann Goering, Hitler’s Propaganda Minister said; “Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger”.

They also knew that the same lie repeated enough times will seem to be the truth eventually.

I mean... it's step two of the political debate process... discredit the person talking... (step one is to of course confront the person on the issues and debate them using facts, but if you don't have enough facts to support your idea, you move onto step two)...

by calling the media liberal it basically gives Republicans free reign to do whatever they want, and when it's reported, all they have to do is say "do you believe the liberal media?"... and those that vote Republican can never be lost if you control all the information that they get...

the only problem is... many Republicans don't totally buy the idea... maybe in part, but they realize that all media tells much more truth than lie, and it doesn't matter what you call it... even if Dan Rather slipped up once for one network out of 100 of news sources that they call "liberal"...

hmmm.... theoretically... if it was liberal... I wonder if any conservative has ever stopped and asked himself "why?"... things just don't happen out of the blue?

Liberals be responsive to as much as a field of rocks.. The Liberal ideology is a concept , fostered by utilising a delusional, illogical minority and which holds forth ideals that have not any foundation certainly. they are Advocates of a coverage that empowers a good federal government to enslave its those with a severe tax burden incident to the help of extravagant and pointless social courses unfavourable to the two the artwork ethic between the decrease classification, and the motivation to innovate and be advantageous between the working classification. Here's a link to the study, and the article which debunks it.

Considering that the six major media outlets are owned by conglomerates that push Right-wing bias and philosophy. There is no liberal Media bias--it's mostly conservative. They promote the conservative agenda--which is also the Big Business agenda.

The tide is turning--the contribution's of Progressive radio and the internet have loosened the grip of the Major Media outlets enabling the consumer to pick and choose where they get their information---and it's only getting better.

Talk about sheep...blindly leading the likes of Clinton ( Both)...Fox News is an entertainment trash heap. Most all media is either owned, run by or influenced by the Liberals....
Here is a news media that is totally non-political...Read and maybe you will learn something.
You wont find news on you local town, but since the Iraq War is the most talked about topic, here..it is very pertinent

The reason they seek to call the media "liberal" is because information is a dangerous thing in the hands of those that have been socially suppressed. It is needed to quell a fretful mind that seeks light. "Your thoughts flee to a different land, they are free but you are bound." -At the Gates.

All of the media lies. Fox leans right, CNN leans left. It's just a fact.

Both sensationalize crap to appease their target audiences. The truth is so far buried under flashy graphics and overdone affectation of their voices it's hard to pick it out anymore.

Rust-Tierney? Still waiting for NY-Times and both papers in Chicago to have it

If he was a former republican senator, how would that story be told?

I'm thinking he wanted the library Internet unfiltered for more personal reasons than just supporting the ACLU's stance.

Because the Media knows the truth and they are not pushing an agenda. It just kills the repubs because they know they are wrong and the Media points it out. Thus, they are tagged with being Libs.
