Congress approved the bill requiring the states to issue new driver's licenses, and more proof of ID in order to get a new licenses. How will we know when we can get those licenses? They are going to be required in order to board a commercial flight, and since I am flying to Florida next February, I don't want this to hold me up.

I heard it will be in effect in about a year in all states ; some sooner .
When you go to renew , you will then need to wait about two weeks to receive the new license by mail .

New Jersey has had the new Digital Licenses for over 2 years now..

When does the bill go into affect....? That is when the states will have to comply and then they will be available.
