I am not American and I've always heard that the Republicans were racist and from the South. Is this true? Were these parties formed after the civil war between the North and South? Which of these parties do you think is seeking the best for the American people?

(armeghedon),some corrupt leader from some made up country, it allways america that saves our planet, and yet they had to call it stalemate against north korea, lost in vietnam, can't even fight fighters armed with 1060's weapon in iraq. ohh and it was the soviet union who won world war 2 ,the germans admitted that and the world knows,so what film will america make next? save our planet from global warming since u caused it in the first place?

Just thinking if it would be the same approach: no inquiry, little compensation for victims, excuse that the government is too busy to address the problem etc.

In 2001, my brother and I submitted 5 complaints to the FOS…

Reason - A U.K Bank had lied to us about documents going missing in the Post, had changed the amount of a Loan application without our authority & closed down our business account because we had complained about them…

Whilst considering our complaints, the FOS re-wrote the first complaint and then deemed all of the complaints outside of their jurisdiction – Basically, they didn’t want to touch our complaints with a barge pole = Very Bad & Long (almost 7 months) Experience!

All they want to do is raise taxes, give to the poor who never even try to get jobs. Waste more tax payers money. They have no plan for the future of social security which republicans are trying to save rightfully so. They also support illegal immigration, because they refuse to do just about anything about it. BIll Cllinton sealed the fate of any manufacturing job in the united states, but signing NAFTA. Support most unethical of all, gay marriage. And worst of all, they oppose the war in Iraq. So, democrats would rather us fight in our own cities rather than in Iraq? Thanks to democrats the middle class of america is being pushed out. Eventually, you're either going to be really rich or really poor. This will just sky rocket crime, drugs, and terrorism. Every terrorist is having a party tonight knowing that democrats have taken over the house and senate; and unfortuantely probably the white house as well in a couple years. How embarrassing

If you just despise *all* liberals or *all* Democrats, please don't respond. It's boring and doesn't address what I'm asking. (Any body remember that this is a "questions" forum.)

Specifically, I'm trying to understand why Hilary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi seem to inspire even more viceral *hatred* than any other Democrat (like Reid, Obama, Biden, Ford, or even Dean, Kerry, or Gore). You would never vote for any of them anyway, but why do these two bother you more than any other Democrat.

If it's not just because they're women, is there something specific that they have done or said?

With the seriousness of things at the moment. Do we need a New Tory party at the moment to form a credible government?

What I mean by New Tory is to bring back some of the more creditable people such as Ken Clarke, Michael Portillo, John Major, Michel Howard, ect. These guys are experienced and old school and maybe what we need to shrug off all this spin and political correctness and sort this mess out.

What do you think?

I highly doubt we have ever had a president or congress which has not lied or purposely mislead the people for one reason or another.
And certainly in the past when things were stagnant in Iraq and GWB said optomistically that everything is fine and that the US will win and still crush all terrorists without too much trouble...(gasp) he wasn't misleading the American people was he??? (OMG!) lol.

(I'm being serious here, I was discussing with my wife a post here at Yahoo Answers about which was worse, Bush or Clinton, my wife mentioned these things that Clinton supposedly did, and want to know the truth, thank you)
Did he really "rent" out a room in the White House?
Did he really sell secrets to China?
Did he really have "sex" in the White House?
Did he really go to Russia during Vietnam?
What else did he do?

Serious answers only PLEASE!

I will explain this one last time. This is what I have heard directly from the mouths of Pelosi and Reid and other prominent democrats.
Democrats want to gradually reduce troops and to not raise taxes on the middle class, but to reverse the tax cuts for the 1% wealthiest Americans in order to help lower the cost of living for the middle class and poor. To do that, medicare and healthcare costs will be lowered, inflation reduced, social security improved, the NCLB Act supported more, tuition costs for education reduced, and more rigid steps to protect the environment. After this, the stock market that Bush is so proud of will actually be able to help the average citizen, which it is not helping right now.
So as you can see, these are their plans. I am certainly glad I voted democratic.
PLEASE don't say in the future that you are being kept in the dark about the democratic agenda. Ok?
