Strange.

I guess it wasn't specific enough? Do they give you a reason when they boot you?

I think it was vague.

If you stated a more specific question,
it would have been clear your intent was to discuss a certain topic and would not be mistaken for anything else.

Next time, I would factually state the general concern or issue
you wish to discuss, then ask for people's opinions and reasons why. If you feel emotional about it, I think there are ways to express that also without losing the focus of your question. For example, I see nothing wrong with admitting "I feel upset" or "I am disturbed" or "insulted" by [this story in the news]. Can you share ideas to help me understand "how this happened" "why someone would do that" or "what those people might be thinking"?

I can't really see any reason for that to be kicked out of the forum. I posted a question titled, "Am I the only one who doesn't like Christmas commercials in November?" or something like that and it was removed I think because they considered it Chat or some other reason. When I saw that, my response was, "WTF?" Sometimes it just isn't our day.

I've had questions and answers yanked for no apparent reason, just that I violated their guidelines. Funny thing is they never seem to be able to tell me which guideline I violated. I've tried emailing them back to get more information but it's like talking to a drone.

I have had questions and answers kicked out nothing in them that would constitute an infraction. I have no idea why they allow people to report something because it may not be something they agree with.

I think maybe you've spent too much time listening to/watching Bill "Orally"?

Yahoo! is a publically-held company bound by law to do what they earnestly believe is in the shareholders best interests.

"France... your thoughts?" is more than a little vague. As such, it seems more to be simple trolling than anything else. If you had a legitimate question, why would you not ask it?

It depends on the moderators, some are just too conservative for a forum like this

I guess you were just too offensive to the French people. Do you want any Freedom Fries with that?

IMHO some of the mods are stinking net nazi with delusions of grandeur. They use their power here because everywhere else their life sucks.

It's the way the question is worded, it is a incomplete sentence. Rephrase the question and it'll probably pass,
try it.
