The war on terrorism will never end. No matter how vigilant or steadfast we are. This is because you cannot completely eliminate the ideology and conditions which breed terrorists. This does not mean we shouldn't be vigilant though. Terrorists cannot be allowed to act with impunity. There must be consequences for actions. The reason we need the war on terror is because it is more preferable to fight these ideologies somewhere other than our own soil. This is selfish I admit, but it is also a reality. We cannot sit and wait for attacks to occur before we act because this tactic will only cause the scope of the attacks to grow and while terrorism cannot be completely defeated we can, esepcially if we are not willing to strongly defend our freedom and way of life.

I do have a brillant time consuming answer. Time consuming because it will be done one by one.
When took physchology in college. I remember The professor talking about the Minnsota Test.
This a test that no one can cheat on and the results are on the target. My professor took it and he just gave any old answers to see what the tests would say about him. Came out that he was a liar. There was a guy who took it (mantory if your going to be an officer of the law in the state) He didn't become a cop because of the results on the test. When he found out he would not become a cop he took the gun and shot some one. That's what the test results said he would do.
Now If we can get this test translated and make the people in question take it wouldn't the results point to the terrorist? Or at least the people who are hidding the terrorist?
Just a thought.

The American are too naive to expect the end of terrorism at one go. It will persist so long as the conditions for its emergence exist. Anti-terrorism is a long drawn war and it is a war of attrition. America, if it wants to claim to be the champion of the anti-terrorism, must be prepared to a long drawn war, no matter how many lives are lost in the battle field.

The war on terror can't be won. What if we killed all of the terrorists in the world? Wow. Cool. But.... what if some guy in Wisconsin (a random place) gets together with some guy in Albania, then they decide that they hate everyone who wears black, and they start killing ppl off? It's like trying to fight evil. You can't.

"War on Terrorism" is oxymoronic, terrorism is an act, the act of using terror as a weapon. You can't wage war on an act, you might as well try to wage war on the act of using guns or knives as weapons. As long as a weapon exists there will be people willing to use it, that's a lesson that's been taught repeatedly throughout History.

You cant fight terrorism. Its a strategy in a war. You can remain vigilant. You can" take out "known operatíves. But to fight terror is almost impossible.
I know people who are still freaked out after 911.
This is not a war that can be won. We must fírst get to the reasons why the people who are using terror as a tacttic are doing it. Then trying to resolve the problems. And please dont tell me Muslims want to take over the whole world.

View the problem from this standpoint, what happened to Polio? Smallpox?
The first rule of warfare is to identify the enemy, then nutralize them. Can you imagine Louis Pasteur reasoning with a rabid dog?

Webster's Dictionary,"Terrorism = The act of terrorizing; use of force or threats to demoralize, intimidate, and subjugate, esp. such use as a political weapon or policy."
Are you speaking of Muslims or of humans in general??? This is human behavior as far as I know. I don't like it, but hey, let's not be naive.
