There's not much to be proud of when one's every opinion is shared by the majority of Americans. God or Nature, depending on your belief, gave us our brains. There is no sense having a brain if we insist upon thinking the same way everyone else thinks.

What political opinions do you have that are a bit out of the ordinary? Please provide some detail.

Supreme Court of India confirmed the death penalty awarded to one Afzal Guru, who was the man behind the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament, in which some people lost their lives and the date of his hanging is confirmed. Now, the Communists, one Congress CM, and some other organisations are supporting the petition filed by Afzal's wife for clemency. Is it correct to give clemency? If give, will it not encourage the terrorists to go for some more such acts?

After the lies that lead to the Iraq War, tax cuts , huge deficits, no contract bids, torture, wiretapping, hurricane Katrina. New facts coming out that the CIA warned Condi Rice, Rumsfield of an imminent Al-Quaeda attack and nothing was done. No exit strategy for Iraq, the fact that we are more in danger from terrorisim than before this war. The fact that we are being beaten in Afghanistan. The newest republican strategy is to let the Taliban back in power, what next Saddam being reinstated. Even with all of this information certain brain dead morons will still say Dumya is "tough on terrorisim" or that we need to "stay the course". How do you convince an idiot to pull his hand out of the fire???

I'm being asked to sign a petition to the council to have our road straightened and renamed from Crescent because of the connotations with Middle Eastern politics and religions. I'm waiting on your advice.

I think personally he will come out with that he is gay and has a African-American lover. That way he can pull in votes from two demographics.

This is just a link to The Drudge Report article about South Korea and Russia trying to stop North Korea from testing nukes.
Other countries should get involved too - against the Irans, Iraqs and N. Korea's of this world. It is in the best interest of EVERYONE on this planet that they be stopped.

Who in their right mind decided to either start or make it law that in almost every political advertisement that the canadite(sp) had to say at the end of the message "I approve this message"? Really it gets quite old and boring but I suppose there is a case to be made for the canadites actually approving the messages that are put on the air so that other messages are not mistaken for being linked to a certain canadites views. I just get tired of hearing it because to me its like DUH I know you approve the message!

when I answered a question with, "the majority of americans are idiots," the question was along the lines of how did bush get re-elected? Since the majority of americans had to vote for him in order for him to be re-elected, and since he is the most idiotic thing to walk the earth, doesn't it make sense that idiots had to be the ones who voted for him? The republicans got their itty bitty feelings hurt, so the scream abuse....typical isn;t it?

Aah, politics. This week, it's "sex scandals." Foley is compared to other cases. Every case is different, but many of the analogies drawn and distinctions made are just spin.

Here's my question: YOU are in charge of writing the rule governing "sexual conduct" of politicians and public officials. What should the rule be? Keep in mind every case in recent history - Clarence Thomas, Bill Clinton, Mark Foley, etc. etc. etc.

This has to be a rule YOU are willing to apply to judge EVERY future case that comes up, no matter what party the person in question belongs to.

I'm just so tired of people having to find out the person's political affiliation before they decide how to react. I'm sure I do it too, although I try not to.

Who will accept the challenge?

Thanks.

My wife, 3 children and I are renters of a place where the landlord is absentee through most of the year.

We moved in on the 18th of January and through out which time we have not met the landlord we have dealt with caretakers of the property and back in June there was a significant amount of flooding in our area that flooded our basement. Upon informing the caretakers of the problem they saw to it to inform the landlord whom I presume gave the ok to have a service man come service the furnace.

However, At the same time of the flooding I informed the caretakers that we had limited use of our hot water and that it to should be looked at but it never was. Two days after the flooding we received a letter from the caretakers stating for any further problems contact the landlord directly. Because they were no longer going to be the care takers.

I disagree with Bush or even his grand scheme to invade Afghan, Iraq, axis of evil, whatever.... but I also dislike the idea like making him assasinated in movie, or ridiculing his Christian faith....

Why do people -including American citizen- tend to act irrational when they come to Bush?
