I think we are so dumbed down and deliberately mis informed that yes, I agree totally. We are a nation of sheeple.
Its a worsening trend. Kudos to you for your participation.

Unfortunately we are. I enjoy the media for the news but a lot of todays media seem to be entertainment oriented versus news oriented. The birth of many talk shows ( Rush, Sean Hannity, etc, etc, etc) has created huge biased opinion on everything politicians have to offer and and have done. If you don't listen to both sides of each story and then you are truly in the "SHEEP" column. Also! I am so sick of negative campaign ads. They do nothing, I want to know what each politician's agenda is not what dirt they can dig up on their opponent and twist their opponent's statements into something that is wasn't to begin with.

You probably wish that more of your own ideas bore fruit, but just because they don't does not mean that we are a nation of sheep.
I might want more of my ideas to be up front, but you might want to get out of the country if they did.
What about the Neo-Nazi Ideas perhaps they might lead our nation to complete destruction if their ideas all passed.
I like things the way they are systematically, meaning if I hate what is going on now, It will change after we all yell loud enough as a group of Americans, With American, not evil ideals at the forefront.
Sometimes ideas serve to disenfranchise a segment of the population, serving selfish aims, example, Hitlers idea to exterminate people, thinking it was the right thing to do.

By your own actions, you showed that we are not a nation of sheep. PACs, lobbyists, citizens in all walks of life try to influence the federal government to do what they think should be done.
The problem (if any) is that we are a nation of 300 million and not everyone agrees to a course of action or comes up with a good idea.

Yup. Most of us are sheep. That includes people from both sides of the spectrum. It's good to see that you have influence to make things happen. I'm curious what those laws were.
