Wouldn't his actions be a personal matter since the age of consent is 16 in Washington D.C. and the page he e-mailed was 18 years old at the time?

Also, he didn't lie under oath about it.

Ok, the law's stipulate that taxation without representation is illegal, well then why-at sixteen- are we legally allowed to work, and in return the government, community, and state are allowed to tax our paycheck, yet still we are unallowed to vote, therefore-taxation without representation.

Is this truly abiding to thier own law's, or does it exceed the rights of our government?

If we enter a reccesion and we all have no money why dont we print more money. We could solve africas problems about no money for food and treatment and we could solve homelessness and low pensions and incomes if we just print off a couple hundred billion more pounds. I dont see why we cant because then the whole world will have a bit of money if all counties chip in.

This is going to take a bit of googling since it has been used so much in the last few years. A hint, it was over 25 years ago.

Also who started using it publicly in the last 10 years?

Do you think the first person taught it to the latter?

The answer will be posted when I pick the winner tomorrow.

Are we mature adults who are seeking answers to tough questions, or a bunch of kids fighting on the playground? If you want people to respect your opinion, try leaving out adjectives like, "cowardly, gutless liberal, and redneck conservative." Just a suggestion.

EVERYONE keeps talking about the "LIBERAL MEDIA" but apparently the young pages went to several papers (Miami Herald and others) and several local tv stations and they refused to report what the kids were saying because it was against the republican party.

I'm 36 years old and American. I grew up during the Cold War, being taught that Communism was bad and evil. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the day The Wall went down.

What's strange is, all they ever taught us in school, as well as at home - was simply that Communism was bad and evil.

I don't recall anyone ever teaching us, as children, thorough details as to *WHY* Communism was bad and evil. Did anyone ever teach you the WHYs of Communism being bad and evil? The closest thing to a "why" we were ever taught was that it was "un-American." Hmm. Ok. That doesn't tell us squat. Sushi is un-American, but that doesn't make it bad and evil. If Communism is bad and evil, I think children should be taught WHY it so.

I don't support Communism. I just find it strange that us Gen X'ers weren't educated very well in this area. Maybe it was just my schools, or was it like this at schools everywhere?

Absentee voting allows you to make a copy of your vote but you have no way of knowing if it accurately is included in your county or state results! There for public posting of your original ballot is a must. No more secretcy because this is the first stage of never being able to verifing votes! Allowing the insiders to continue on cheating!

It seems like this wasn't the worlds best kept secret....so, isn't holding the info until weeks before an election, just as bad, as not telling because you want to hold a seat? If "putting the safety of the "child" is th issue....

This isn't on just one party's hands. . .but at LEAST the Republicans won't be supporting Foley for another run.

Also, I don't think Bush will give him a pardon like Clinton did for the guy who had sex with an underage campaign volunteer.

I am using the words "passive" and "active" for lack of better words.

I define passive national security as spending the money at home to improve: airline security, Coast Guard resources, border control, intelligence, etc.

I define active security to mean sending troops overseas to actively root out and destroy terrorist cells in other countries before they have a chance to infiltrate our coutry's borders.

As always, there is only so much money to go around. Which do you feel is more effective?

To me, it seems like spending money at home will keep more money here, while being more efficient (fuel and other resource costs increase as we move elsewhere) and creating more jobs. It would also reduce casualties in other countries (both U.S. and foreign).

So far, I believe we have spent 500 bil on the war and have doubled the casualties that were lost in 9/11. Am I missing anything?

that islam has to cross before everyone agrees that it is finally time to take the gun out and put the dog down....

Obviously, killing 3000 americans IN AMERICA isn't the line.
Is killing your friends the line?
Your parents?
your children?
where is the line that ISN"T okay for them to cross?
Where does the PEACE crowd finally stand up and say ENOUGH?
IS there such an act that would bring an appropriate reaction from the PEACE crowd?
Or would they sooner die than defend themselves?
