The TV License is a disgrace, it is another tax like council tax that we have to pay and for what..........
.....so people in other countries can hear the BBC on their radios.....
......so we can have the same old rubbish repeated from the BBC.....
.......then if we all live to be 75 we are allowed to watch our tv's and listen to our radios for free.
Gee! that's freedom in the free world is it.
Not only the average john or joe, but pensioners, retired, disabled, single parents and unemployed people, all have to pay the full amount per year. What great hold does the BBC have over every government of this country, that a British government cannot have the balls to abolish this tax on every household.
How dare the BBC be so pompous as to think their service is worth taxing us. If they want to service the world-charge the world-tax the world-don't tax the already heavily taxed British people. With a service that is second rate. Get commercial. Cut the admin nonsense. We finance the rest of the world enough, why should we finance your broken down old man's club of a broadcasting company. Get real!
It is resented widely.

I am really not bothered, it is not as though £131 is a fortune. And it does a hell of a lot of radio channels in the UK and overseas.
But one cannot disagree, you should not be forced to pay for a service you don't want.
I think it is a good thing to have an independant tv channel, which, theoretically should be unbiased. I mainly watch the BBC News, particularly in the morning, the other channels tend to be much more "tabloid" and talk too much about football.
On balance, I feel we must agree to disagree on this one!

at present its not a choice
if you watch any tv (even DVD played on TV's) then you require a licensce
so its doesnt actually matter if yiou watch BBC or not.
the alternative is to switch to totally advertising funded TV, and despite the Beebs problems I think the advertising led model as the only siurce of TV programming is pretty dire. As channel 5 & 4 have show, the cheap and easy programs to put on are prettyt tacky (often cheapo gameshows, studio opinion pieces or foreign imports)
we need soemthign that develops, reinforces and maintains out culture. the Beeb may not be ideal, but its better than wall to wall us imports. personally Id miss the radio output especially radio 4... ic ant see a commercail broadcaster who requires audience share carrying much of the radio 4 output.

Yes. Definitely. It is overdue to go. The Government is just fleecing the public for all it can get. It is bull to pay for a licence to watch TV. The British public does put up for a lot of rubbish like this and car clamping and cameras everywhere to fleece unsuspecting people. It must all go!

possibly it truly is misguided in spite of the indisputable fact that it earrings a bell contained in the dense component between my ears.do not they insist on you having a minimum of a black and white television licence as for this reason of listening to a radio.did not the unique B+W television licence conceal one television and one radio using BBC radio software es,yet as well that I used to pay my licence on the submit place of work for the 12 months.devoid of be conscious very last 12 months there became no charge known everywhere except as you went by the bits and products you eventually end up status order only.properly ok except they opt for each man or woman to be six months in boost so on your first 12 months of status orders, they upload 0.5 a months charge to the months charge.there has been extremely some communities presently the position they have a community aerial so have fought that all of them would chop up the fee,to date many have gained the cases.

I agree with you, i think that bbc is rubbish any way. I only watch neighbours and eastenders anyway. I resent having to pay for it when it is tripe. my tv works perfectly well without a licence so why should i have to get one?

Yes. The BBC are arrogant jerks. There should be a subscription package, so you only pay if you watch it. But they won't allow that cos they'll lose money. They are evil people.

Let it go. The BBC is a monopoly. Let them support and pay for their business with subscriptions like everyone else. If they can't get enough money that way, they can cut back or fold.
