There's not much to be proud of when one's every opinion is shared by the majority of Americans. God or Nature, depending on your belief, gave us our brains. There is no sense having a brain if we insist upon thinking the same way everyone else thinks.

What political opinions do you have that are a bit out of the ordinary? Please provide some detail.

Good question! First, I don't support the death penalty. But since we have it, why don't we take the eyes, kidneys, hearts, livers and other organs and let people who need them have an opportunity to use them ( if you had sight, became blind, and had a chance to see again, you wouldn't care where the eyes came from ). Second, we need a third political party in the USA, called the Common Sense party. We all can't agree on everything, but most of us can agree on the same things most of the time, which is 'common sense', and that is what should make decisions for us in the USA. For example, flat tax rate of 10%, school vouchers, withdrawing from Iraq - 70% want this - lose our dependence of Iranian oil, illegal immigration - the people all know what they want, but the politicians with their agendas and desire to stay in power, ignore the 'common sense' of the people.

If you had 10 issues, we would all not agree on how to handle them. But a majority of the people deciding issues is what should effect our resolutions on the issues, not politics and power plays. You and I may agree on immigration, but not on abortion. But if a majority of people agree with me on the death penalty and with you on a flat tax, then that is what the laws should reflect - the will of the majority of the people.

9/11 is an inside job! Seems this opinion is growing rapidly and is now probably greater than 25% of Americans. A recent poll showed 36%, but that was just any kind of involvment. Elements of the gov't planned and carried out 9/1, the facts are out there.

I believe that abortion is murder, and as such, should be outlawed in all circumstances. If there is such a case as when the mother's life is in danger, there are other procedures which can save her life (while sometimes, but not all the time, ending the life of the baby's) other than abortion. Abortion hurts women and their children. It has been directly linked to cancers, especially breast cancer. It has been directly linked to miscarriages and permanent infertility. I find it appalling that women are not being fully informed about the risks of the procedure before they undergo it--even for a colonscopy they at least give you a brouchure! I honestly believe that if everyone in America researched abortion procedures, risks and information, no one would EVER choose to do it. We have a massive shortage of adoptable babies in this country. Women have other choices!

Believe many convicted of first degree murder are simple minded folks hired to do killing, which employer wants to see killed so they can never get caught.
Very strongly believe grass is illegal to keep it's price high and to act as bait by pusher to get people hooked on stronger much more profitable stuff. Years ago saw pusher at work, and if it were illegal he would have been out of business in weeks.
Also extremely believe capitalist Communist fight socialism, because it would hamper their monopolies, trust and indirect ownerships, that severely hurt consumer and new product development. Good question, and it will be fun to see best answer chosen

I stick to Libertarian principles, including:
1. Legalize drugs, and prostitution.
2. Get rid of seatbelt and motorcycle helmet laws.
3. Make social security voluntary, eliminate farm subsidies and all subsidies in general, stop all transfer payments such as welfare.
As Gandhi said, freedom is meaningless if it does not connote freedom to err.

LEGALIZE IT!!! Just legalize Marijuana already, the pharmacies have worse sh it out there but I guess the govt wants a little piece of that action. So its OK if young kids in the Midwest are dying of overdoses of Oxycontin. As long as Uncle Sam gets his $. Lets face it they make more $ off of it to be illegal, than to legalize it. (court cost, jail *which now you have to pay to visit!, drug programs, lawyers, etc.) Can they go to every backyard, basement, closet and tax us? I think not. We can buy alcohol and smokes but no Mary Jane? What is the world coming to?

I seem to be one of the few people I know of who believes that divorce should be illegal. I know many people who are divorced and without exception, every one of them has experienced more problems since they got divorced than they had when they were married. I especially feel for the kids. It really messes them up to have their family split up. They feel abandonded by one parent or the other. They feel like they are a pawn or the rope in a tug of war. They blame themselves for the split sometimes. One parent tries to get the kid to say bad things about the other. My sister and her husband got a divorce and its devastated my sister. She trys to act like it doesnt bother her but I know it does. Especially since her husband got full custody of the two boys and now he hasnt let her see them for over three months. They are 8 and 10. Im sure they miss her too. Families spend small fortunes in divorce court and only the lawyers really win. Its really and evil thing and I wish it was illegal.

I think that we should go from being a republic to a democratic society. By that I mean, we should abolish the electoral college system in this country and allow everyone to have a direct vote for President. It would be more fair and the politicians would have to make their policies resonate with the electorate more squarely..

- Bring back corporal punishment! Rather than send miscreant little kids to counseling and anger management (worked for those Columbine kids, eh?), a little bamboo applied to their bare buttocks in a public place might have a greater correctional impact. Also costs less.
