Military - August 2006

What would you do if your husband/wife was in the Army and you had to decide where to move to while he or she was deployed....and if these were the places you could go:
1. Your moms at which they will charge you to live with them, have responsibility of buying some food, babysitting brothers 7 month old, have people constantly asking you for money,live 2 miles from the slot machines, and having people control your every move.
2. Your aunts who of course you will have to pay a little bit of rent, pay for some groceries, have a grandmother trying to make you feel sorry for her and want to borrow money, and help take care of aunts two kids.
3. mother in laws who wont charge you for rent, you will have to pay for groceries, drive mother in law around to everything all of the time, have to listen to mother in law moan that she is sick, but she is not, live out in the middle of nowhere, and no know anyone around you but them.

I am lost and confused, what do i do?

I've heard people say that "It's pretty clear Saddam moved his WMDs to Syria" but I have never heard or seen the evidence. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, or disputing it. I've just never seen the evidence. Would someone please provide me a link to an article that explains the evidence?

I support my son in whatever he chooses to do, but he is 29 years old, starting a little late. I worry her won't be able to keep up with those younger guys and that he will end up pulling guard duty behind enemy lines. A mother worries I guess.

Can you join the army or navy when your 17? in summer 07' i will be going from junior to senior year in high school, and i was wondering if i could go to BCT(basic combat training) in the summer and finish high school in the fall?

1. Is it time that the 300 plus British soldiers executed in WWI were pardoned? Accepting that some did just sod off and leave their mates, what about those that were traumatised?

2. For Americans. Did any of your soldiers face the firing squad for similar reasons? Accepting the one shot in WWII

Can anyone understand the terrible trauma they must have underwent?

As an ex-squaddie, with active service, I cannot come close to what those guys experienced.

I know im going to go through ROTC or NROTC in college to become a Military Police Officer after i graduate High School..But i wanted to do it in the Navy but someone told me they just have enlist and not officers for law enforcement in the Navy..Im not sure about the Air Force but i know the army as Military Police Officers but yeah..Does anyone know what i heard about the Navy was true or about it when it comes to the Air Force?

Someone that lives in my home has been AWOL over 30 days. She got hurt during basic and was held over for a month. After NCOs cheated on her PT test she was transfered to AIT. She arrived at AIT hurt worse than ever. Was a hold under at AIT and no date for when her class would start. All this caused her mental problems(suicidal) and physical problems, Doctors were no help. Soldiers made fun of her being hurt....She left one day when NCO told her to go AWOL if she couldnt keep up. She needed to "tap out".

She wants to turn herself in and forget the nightmare the Army has put her through.What will happen if she turns herself in? I am convenced that the Army life will cause her to do something bad to herself. The best thing is for her to do get this Army over with and be civilian. For her life sake.
What happens when one is not suited for Army and turns theirself in?
I only want real answers....I know death is in umcj but not likely to happen.

I was looking at this rate and it said they work on gas and diesel engines, aircraft, body work, and they do welding too. Does anybody know about this rating??

And what careers would it help me on once i'm out of the Navy?
