The Army just raised the age limit from 34 to 39 years old. On the other end, it is 17 with parental permission and 18 otherwise.

The age limit for joining the Army Reserve ranges from age 17 (with parental consent) to not having reached your 42nd birthday. This age limit was raised this year. You must still pass a physical, meet height and weight requirements and pass the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) which is similiar to an ACT/SAT test. Minimum score is 31 on this test.

It depends on age and experience. If you're joining for the first time you have to be at least 17 when signing the contract. You can go to basic training the summer between your Jr and Sr. year of highschool. After you finish with that you can drill and get paid for it on the weekends while being in H.S. This is a good option because you can't be deployed until you have go to AIT, that's your advanced training where you get your MOS or military job training; and your time on your contract starts when you sign it. After you gradutate you will go to get your advanced training. If you're talking older the age is 34 I believe. It can be later in some cases because you're in the reserve but you have to have prior military service. In the older case you have to remember that if it's your first time being in the army you still have to do basic training. They're not going to let older, and out of shape people go. Hope this help when all else fails go to a recuiter just beware what they say. Everything isn't completely true.

The age cut back became into presently raised for reservists to the age of 40 ( possibly 40 two), in case you have earlier provider they'll deduct that provider holiday of your relatively age providing you with a superb age. So a individual who's say 40 two wtih 4 years earlier provider is calculated as 40 two-4= 38 effectual years previous which skill they meet the age requirement to connect. additionally reckoning on contemporary occupation those regulations do no longer word. there became right into a generic practitioner who became into allowed to connect the reserves at age 50 i think of. He became into an exception becuase of his skill. Nurses acquire comparable exceptions. reckoning on how long she has been out she won't rejoin on a similar rank she left. She may even would desire to repeat user-friendly training. best to debate all innovations with a recruiter from each and every provider as they might all be waiting to grant her something diverse. stable luck to her and God Bless military Vet, military significant different, Recruiters spouse

You can join at the age of 17 and go to what they call split option training. This means that when you finish your Jr. year you can go to basic training and then go to the monthly drill meetings then when you graduate from high school you can go on to complete your training.
