If you just want to get into a law enforcement career then you can enlist in any service. You do not have to be an officer to be an MP (Military Police), SP(Security Police) or Navy Shore Patrol. You only have to be an officer if you want to head up a squadron or company.

Talk to a recruiter and get the best answer. I was in the Army and would be very surprised if the Navy did not have officers in the Shore Patrol. Someone has to manage the enlisted people and it's always an officer.

Well - it may be different in the States than in Canada, but I don't think significantly.
The challenge seems to be the terminology - there is a difference between an "officer" and a "police officer". "Officer" refers to whether or not you are a commissioned officer of the armed services.
You can be a Military Police officer and still be say, a Corporal or a Sergeant - which is enlisted.

All of the police officers in the military are enlisted, it doesn't matter what branch. If you are an officer you will be inside pushing paperwork not outside working for a living.

it incredibly is one situation that generally is a difficulty interior the army and maximum in all probability different branches (i'm military lively so i can not relatively remark too lots touching directly to the others). the female is usually believed first then the male. what's greater humorous is that in spite of the fact that if the female is the soldier it is going to nevertheless flow that way. in terms of an eval the sole one i will think of of occurs on a undeniable floor interior the scientific institution. If he failed that then i do no longer merchandise with forcing him to get out. besides the undeniable fact that it is likewise very possible that the companion could be inflicting all of it. All he had to do became specify. whilst it comprises you interior the situation, military couples could be suitable or very bizzare. Step back from them till now you upload to the fireplace and alter right into a legal duty to the two party.

I am an MP, in iraq now, if you want to be an officer, go and do it, don't listen to anyone, but do me a favor, if you do, make sure you listen to your NCO's and lower enlisted who actually do the job and trust in their abilities. It takes awhile for us to trust officers, especially if they just come out of college in charge. Its the enlisted who run the army, not the officers!

Officers are in charge of everything in every branch!
Army offers faster promotions, best pay.
Air force has best perks, best uniforms, best food, best bases, best women but horrible promotions and pay.
Navy is even worse! You REALLY wan to wear WHITE and be called Junior Grade!
Marines. You have to be a Looney tune for that one!
