Depends on what career you go. If you go as an Officer, more than likely, yes. Enlisted, probably not as much as you would like.

The pay you will recieve is alright. You will be able to live off of it. In the lower ranks it wont seem like much but you have to count all the benefits you are getting. You get free housing, free meals (if on a meal card, if not you will get BAS which is like another 260.00), medical, dental, and so on....

When I used to be in the AF and an E-3 I was supporting a wife and 2 kids. So it is possible....

They actually say that the younger guys are the richest in the military because they basically bank there whole check and you always see them riding around in little sports cars and all that (especially if they just collected all the pay they made from being overseas)....

Here is the enlisted pay chart. There are links also on the page to view warrant officer and officer pay. These ais just basic pay, it does not include others pays such as combat, foreign duty, housing, etc...etc..

the pay is alright. what usually gets people is the free houseing, free health insurance, college reimbursement, etc...here's how much people in the military make

NO! Not unless you're like an officer or something. My uncle's in the AF and his family's well off but they have struggled
