These people that go to the fallen soldiers funerals to protest. Where was that zipperhead Sheehan or fatass Micheal Moore. My opinion is let the people around them decide their fate. Me I would shoot everyone of one of gutless baitches.

He is receiving a full honors service (21 gun salute, flag, etc) but since there will be no coffin for the flag to be draped over, how will it be presented to his widow?

Its kinda like Halloween,
It involves dressing up and going to your neighbors' and demanding the goods.Only there's just one costume,
a U.S soldier
and we send about thirty thousand of them to the middle east.
and there are NO tricks or treats, just Rape and Murder...
and stealing of oil.

I am wondering about a millitary patch that my birth father has on his uniform that is a rectangle with three arrow-spears within. He was in the Vietnam War, and afaik, was in the Army. Link to picture is below. Blurry, but shows well enough to give a good idea.

I am wondering what does it signifty? Infantry or otherwise? Birth father and I don't communicate so I cannot ask him, unfortunately. Comprehensive websites will be appreciated too.

personal background, ex U.S Army infantry. two overseas tours iraq, korea. I find it interesting that America would declare war on terror. Is this even possible? First terrorism is only a form of combat. Declaring war on terror is similar to declaring war on airbourne drops its just a way of fighting. Second what if we are wrong? I know its hard to comprehend that we as Americans can be wrong. But what if having superior weapons doesn't give you the moral high ground. To understand this better I believe you have to put yourself in the shoes of the "enemy". What if you have been wronged by a great power how would you fight back? would you run out in the field only to be cut down by an abrams tank. Or would you fight anyway you could? Is it the only war they can fight or is it terror?

I am talking about deaf people who are sign language users. There are many deaf men who would make excellent soldiers, with good strategist minds. Seriously, with mobile phones and text messages, and lipreading abilities, what are the logical reasons for excluding deaf men from the military? I can understand one, night time operations... but with night vision goggles? Is it now time for deaf men to be included? Or is it still too dangerous?

Some time ago, president Bush named Iraq, Iran and North Korea as "the axis of evil", although they had absolutely no connection and in fact hated each other intensly.

Bush has now sorted out his problems with Iraq and in the fullness of time, after much blood and money, he willl be getting out leaving a working democracy which should last at least six months before Islamist dictatorship is established.

With the US troops conveniently near, should we then invade the second country he named viz..Iran and establish another western style democracy there, as we are doing in Iraq, or go directly for North Korea? Or have we had enough and we should not try to be the world's policeman?

Should we now start spending our money on improving America and American lives, or on overseas wars trying to establish our version of democracy every where? You must admit it feels good to be the toughest guy in the street!

Whom should we be targeting next? Should we be targetting any body?

The US need Russian support against Muslims, and they believe Russia will revenge. On the other hand their were no need for Iraqies to kill people of country which never wanted to fight with them.

Helping them establish a government, and military service is fine, but sending half, or all of our troops over there. They r planning a strategy to at least bring back 14,000 or more home from Iraq.

We will be studying a unit on the military soon in homeschooling. My kids are 10, 9 and 8. I'd be interested in knowing who would be fascinating people to study, what about the US military would be important to know (I have an older child in the Army has been and will soon be in Iraq soon, so we'll deal with that some), what about foreign military, and also about military history. Whatever someone would think would be important to study. Thanks so much for any input.

I feel that mankind is inherently evil. We are fallen sinful beings who look out for ourselves only. This creates tensions when our ambitions and desires don't coincide with others. Thus we fight. When we have large groups siding with one another, we war. Wars have been going on since the beginning of mankind. But do you think they will ever cease to exist? and WHY?
