Military - June 2006

I am putting together a database of companies for a non-profit organization that aids veterans. I would like to know what types of jobs people in the military are commonly entering, both tempory or permant. I have searched online, and all I found were government aid sites that helped veterans get jobs.

P.S. I want the jobs they are actually more likely to take. Please, no assumptions, stereotypes, or other ideas that may or may or may not be true. I need facts.

If there has been a study done on this - that would be perfect.

Thank you for your time.

Personally I have no problem with chavez, he is doing a lot to help the poor, although he is a bit of a loud mouth. But venezuela is the most radical leftist government in south america and is right next to the conservative stronghold in the area of columbia. there have been border incursions by the armies on both sides. Columbia accuses chavez of trying to send aid to FARC rebels in columbia, also recently chavez has been building up his military with new ak-47's and russian made jets and choppers, do you think he plans to invade columbia, or that columbia may invade out of fear of chavez building up his military? and if so what would be the outcome?

I am always hearing people state that we need to get out of Iraq immediately...So I thought I'd ask...

If the US pulled out of Iraq completely right now, what would happen to:
1. The US economy.
2. Iraq.
3. Oil prices.
4. Other countries' opinion of us.

And Bush has no intentions of capturing him now because that would mean the end is near in Iraq. Reports of this are coming from high sources in Washington. Could this be true?

I am trying to get into the U.S. Army, I'm waiting on a combo waiver and hoping it goes through. I've thought of going before a judge here and asking if they will expounge (don't know if that's spelled right) my criminal history. How does a person go about doing this and do you have any tips on how I can "pull some strings" to help get in. I would also like to know if M.e.p. is strict, as far as teeth and eyes, what do they check there?

Musical guest KT Tunstall had the message, "THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS" taped to her guitar and she pounded the words several times before beginning her song.

The musical guest was some chick from Scotland who stank, but had a mysterious message taped to her guitar which read: "THIS MACHINE KILLS FACISTS." Nobody seemed to know what this meant, but I did notice that at the end of the show she shook Carlin's hand, then Ann's, but then immediately focused a conversation on Carlin and didn't even glance at Ann again, as if she wasn't there. (source listed in sources)

Ann Coulton in interview with Right Wing News asked about John Murtha resplied "The reason soldiers invented "fragging."

Anyone else recall George Carlin's 7 words you can't say comedic act ?

Let's say nation X has rebels that hate your nation. They have just purchased some nukes from the black market. They sneak one into a main city in your nation. Boom, millions dead. The country its from didn't order it, but it was done by a rebel faction. You ask for justice, but they say they have nothing to do with it, it's rebels. So you beef up security, and your nation lives in fear. But again, another city falls, millions more die. Again they say it's the rebels, not their problem. They won't fix the problem, and won't allow you to send troops in to get them. They are spread over the country anyways. The international community feels for you but says you shouldn't retalitate and possibly kill their innocent civilians. What would you do? (this is not a fight or no fight question, you can do anything.)
