The sites listed below, have endless links and information on WWII. I haven't been through every link (they are quite numerous) but you can find out just about anything on WWII, including photos taken from that time. My daddy fought in WWII, in the South Pacific, on his belly in New Guinea fighting the Japanese. He joined the Army Air Corps when he was 18, right out of high school in Brooklyn, NY and stayed in (later became the US Air Force) for 30 years.

Glad to see someone actually interested in this war, and our place in history. Have fun! :)

It's a book. It's worth reading if you want just the units and where and when they served.
