Around military bases are hang-outs, bars, restaurants or pool halls where troops go to talk, relax and drink. Also, call the nearest base and ask the same question. Some times there are activities on the base of locals. If you know any relatives, friends acquaints ask them. Good luck.

Try military.com, there are a few other ones as well. You can search on Google, I am in the process of doing the samething. Try zabasearch, classmates.com and reunion.com.

People jump to conclusions, they say you should know if you were in the service. I am mean I do not know your situation, but when you are in the service, and you have a family they loose everybody (friends) too.

People should stop being so cruel.

Just know, before looking someone up on AKO for a person - you dont know who you could be looking it up for.

I personally, would not do it for a stranger on the net.

If this person was really prior military - he/she would NOT be asking a military person how to find someone. They would know.

Also, be aware that giving out government information or any type of personal military information over the internet is a violation of OSPEC and will not be tolerated.

Breaking OPSEC laws will land you in prison.

1. OPSEC IS A CHAIN OF COMMAND RESPONSIBILITY. IT IS SERIOUS
BUSINESS AND WE MUST DO A BETTER JOB ACROSS THE ARMY. THE ENEMY
AGGRESSIVELY "READS" OUR OPEN SOURCE AND CONTINUES TO EXPLOIT SUCH
INFORMATION FOR USE AGAINST OUR FORCES. SOME SOLDIERS CONTINUE TO POST
SENSITIVE INFORMATION TO INTERNET WEBSITES AND BLOGS, E.G., PHOTOS
DEPICTING WEAPON SYSTEM VULNERABILITIES AND TACTICS, TECHNIQUES, AND
PROCEDURES. SUCH OPSEC VIOLATIONS NEEDLESSLY PLACE LIVES AT RISK AND
DEGRADE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OUR OPERATIONS.

2. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS ISSUE HAS SURFACED.
THE VICE CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE ARMY PREVIOUSLY ADDRESSED THIS VIA
MESSAGE IN FEBRUARY 2005. TAKE A HARD LOOK AT HIS GUIDANCE.

3. LEADERS AT ALL LEVELS MUST TAKE CHARGE OF THIS ISSUE
AND GET THE MESSAGE DOWN TO THE LOWEST LEVELS. TO ASSIST YOU, THE HQDA
G-2 AND THE OPSEC SUPPORT ELEMENT ARE DEVELOPING A TRAINING MODULE
AND ARE FORMING A MOBILE TRAINING TEAM TO ASSIST IN TRAINING YOUR SOLDIERS.
DETAILS WILL BE PROVIDED NLT 2 SEPTEMBER 2005. HQDA G-6 (IN COORDINATION
WITH G-2) IS DIRECTED TO TRACK AND REPORT, ON A QUARTERLY BASIS, OPEN
SOURCE OPSEC VIOLATIONS. AN INTERIM CHANGE TO AR 530-1, OPERATIONS
SECURITY, WILL BE PUBLISHED VIA MESSAGE WITHIN 30 DAYS WHICH WILL
CONTAIN CLEAR POLICY CONCERNING THE POSTING OF SENSITIVE PHOTOS
AND INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET.

Start with his family, if he was a friend before his military time. If you guys became friends while serving then you should know how AKO works and what his e-mail address should be. So try and contact him that way.
