What is going on here? Every question I look at in this section is all about people trying to get into Britian! There is something seriously wrong here, don't you think? My family had to move to New Zealand to get away from the problems in the UK. We had no idea just how bad things had got and we've only been away for 4 years. We're talking about coming home but I think we'll just stay here. There seems to be no room for the English in England! Something needs to change in my opinion.

What will happen to us now?

Okay, the issue with Mexican immigration we say we don't hate mexicans we hate illegals because they are criminals. Well, with the comparison to the irish and the germans, they say "They came legally". Well if they came legally, then what was the problem? They we're looked down upon and treated horribly by Americans. So then wasn't it racism? Could it be racism now with the guise of the issue being the legality of their presence here? What do you think.

The Irish had been coming to America for years, but in the 1840's the potato famine crushed their homeland. During that decade, a fourth of the population died of disease and hunger, and many fled to the U.S. (Bailey 325). Here, they lived at the bottom of the social scale, working as menial laborers and domestic servants, and living in squalid conditions. The native population looked down on them, considering them less clean and hygienic (Daniels 131).

What do you think about the illegals? What do you think should be done with illegals? What are the best solutions you think should be done about illegal immigration? I think that illegal immigrants come over here because their families are dying in their country, and in a situation like that they often can care less about their legal status. They don't come here for the fun of it; crappy jobs for crappy wages, constant prejudice and fear of the INS(immigration officials) are among the things they put up with."They're taking our jobs. I never knew how crazy people were for scrubbing toilets and picking strawberries." Meybe they are. It IS illegal, regardless of their (good) intentions. Deporting 11 MILLION people is unrealistic. I think the U.S and Mexico should work together to make a guest worker program, and an easier path to legalization to people who do want to live her and not just work here. What do you think?

At 8 yrs old, I knew we must love our country after I read a story of a boy refused to accept money form people who talk bad about his country.

I have orang Asli, Malays and Non-Malays good friends.

At 10 yrs old I was ashamed after found out from Newspaper only the Malays are Bumiputra Malaysia.

Bumi - Earth, Putra - Prince (Prince born on Malaysia). The Non-Malays are what on Malaysia.

Later I saw many disappointed Non-Malays left the country. They are intelligent and work hard but no chance to acheive what is desire.

I got A in SPM HIstory, Parameswara was Hindu, Muzaffar Shah & Mansur Shah were islam. One of the queen is Chinese.

Lately, the leader words on newspaper was the non-Malays must refer to the history or contract sign. The Non-malays must accept that the Malays have the special rights. If we want to have a fair system? next life?

Well! I finally understand why many Non- Malays left Malaysia.

I've had an ephinony! The Mexican government wants us to treat its illegal emmigrants in this country better and will do nothing to stop the exodous. How about this. We release every one of the violent criminals in our prisons, with the stipulation that they sneak into Mexico, and not return to the US upon pain of death. How many do we have, a million or so? Maybe Mexico would get a clue!! What do you think?

PORTLAND, Maine - Congressional candidate Dean Scontras called today for Governor Baldacci to terminate Maine's status as a sanctuary state for illegal aliens. Scontras said an executive order issued in 2004 has turned Maine into the nation's only sanctuary state, where people in the country illegally are entitled to the full range of welfare benefits, driver's licenses, and other privileges intended for lawful state residents.

"This misguided order by the governor is not in the best interest of Maine or our country," said Scontras, the leading Republican candidate for Maine's open 1st Congressional District seat. "At a time when Maine's economy is struggling, it is unconscionable that our highly taxed citizens should be expected to provide welfare and numerous other benefits for people who are in our country illegally."

The executive order in question, 13 FY 04/05, issued on April 9, 2004, is entitled "An Order Concerning Access to State Services by All Entitled Maine Residents". The order prohibits state workers from inquiring about the immigration status of anyone applying for services. Consequently, thousands of people of unknown origin have been issued Maine driver's licenses. No estimates exist for the number of illegal aliens who are collecting welfare, subsidized housing, food stamps, cash benefits and many other services that Maine provides. http://www.teamdean08.com/press_12.04.07.html

According to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland '[a]nyone whose Polish origin has been confirmed in accordance with statute may settle permanently in Poland'. What exactly does this mean? If I am descended from Poles who emigrated to the United States, am I still required to complete a five year residency in Poland?
