It's not about what you get, it's about proving your identity to the immigration services around the world.

We also had to leave Zim and have British passports and just a little older than your cousin. We received a huge amount of advice and assistance and are coping well. Having the British passport at least means he has permission to stay and work here. Although he may not be able to teach there should be other openings for him along similar lines. We wish him luck and hope it all works out well for him - it has got to be an improvement on living conditions in ZIm these days.

yes i think respectability as well and it does get you to many places. I'm proud to be a British subject and a British passport holder. although i do admit the EU are trying to dilute this as much as they can.

Respectability since UK is a superpower and ally of the US. However, there are no direct benefits in claiming education and insurance benefits.

Yes-she can get medical insurance and education and all the benefits GB gives to its citizen---provided that she can get a permanent residence there---usually we forgeigners have someone overseas where we can keep ourselves registered. I am from Germany, I am registered in Germany, therefore I can use my German passport to travel to Germany without problems, and to get the full benefits Germany has to offer...Good Luck

You get to come back into the country without having to say why. Not sure if coming back is a benefit, might move to France they give the government hell.
