What is going on here? Every question I look at in this section is all about people trying to get into Britian! There is something seriously wrong here, don't you think? My family had to move to New Zealand to get away from the problems in the UK. We had no idea just how bad things had got and we've only been away for 4 years. We're talking about coming home but I think we'll just stay here. There seems to be no room for the English in England! Something needs to change in my opinion.

I fully agree that NZ is for Kiwis and Britain is for Brits. That is why we would like to return home- to be in our own country. But we do not scrounge of the state. We work bloody hard in this country- you can't afford not to. Just by reading the comments in this section, everyone is looking for an easy way out. Yes, life is hard but don't bring all the troubles to somebody else's country!

The word has been spread globally.
Every uhnappy, uneducated 3rd world inhabitant heard that UK checks nothing and allows all who enter:
free food, housing and education in addition to the ever popular FREE medical care.

English speaking countries are being overrun by immigrants and governed by Politically Correct Puppets.

These English speaking developed countries are dieing because they're letting the foreigners trash the place and STAY, not requiring them to become Citizens.

Well, we have easier standards to meet when it comes to immigration than our European neighbours, which has the effect of shunting people who have been rejected from other countries in our direction.

There are plenty of people who are not making it into the country though, and too often these are the people who really do need our help. There once was a time when Asylum Seekers only came here because their lives were indeed in danger in their own countries.

This is a very touchy subject. I am sure that most people would agree with saving the life of someone who had nowhere else to go, but I don't think it is reasonable to let just anyone in just because they think they have a right to live like us. That right does not exist. Countries must be built through hard work, like this one was.

We should spend the money used to care for people who come here for the standard of living to help them to develop their own countries instead. I'm not saying that we just give them the money, but rather invest in industry and education in those countries. That way, I believe that we could all be much happier. It's not perfect, but it's better.

Of course, that is not the easiest option for a government to take, and governments always take the easiest way available.

I heard one person liken the immigration system in the UK to a bus which is getting fuller and fuller. At some point the bus driver will have to say 'Sorry, the bus is full, you can't get on'. I think the bus is getting pretty full in the UK and that the time has come to try a different approach.

This holds true for many situations in the UK; things aren't working and we need to stop, assess the situation and change our direction even if it seems hard. I don't think we will get that with our current government though, so unless we take action ourselves, they certainly won't. Like I said, governments take the easiest path, so if they have to satisfy a population who has said 'enough, we won't do this anymore, you're going to listen to us now', that will be their easiest option.

Remember, democracy doesn't mean voting every five years, it means making yourself heard and making the government do as the majority desires. It's all to easy to forget that they work for us and we control them. If they forget that, it's time to get a new government.

Europe is wealthy. Foodwise you are able to stay extra effective from ecu dumpsters than from some international places markets. Why the united kingdom? with the aid of fact human beings have discovered English for years in school, no longer Polish or Esperanto BQ: you have no longer have been given any thought what socialism potential. What we've in continental europe is milder varieties of capitalism, such with the aid of fact the scandinavian form (you lose your interest, government helps you get yet another, whether you choose education or flow to above the arctic circle) and the rhineland form. actual socialism would recommend no multimillionnaires, no interest, no dividend, no income as significant clarification for production, no hypothesis, no stockbrokers

The answer is because your national health service is free, you don't pay to see a doctor, if you can't get work you get job seekers allowance you get housed you get all the benefits that us born and breed Brit's get and we have paid our taxes and Ni. This is not fare as we have foreigners coming into our country with no money and no employment. The Government need to start putting their feet down and do what America and others countries do if you have no money and no employment bye bye you have been rejected but will this Government do this no.

I think you are being slightly blinded by stereotypes. Not all immigrants 'scrounge off the state' a lot of them work bloody hard for less than what we get, a lot of them have merely done the exact equivilent to what you have done, moving to New Zealand. I admit there are some people who come to this country and don't exactly pull their weight, but it's not the majority, and a lot of these people are getting away from the absolute horrors of their own countries, living in places of war. I know I'd want to move right out of Britain if me and my loved ones' safety was jeopardised. What I do believe is that our government should crack down on those who don't pull their weight and who don't need to be here, they seem to be letting a lot of the wrong people in the country.

Presumably they think they will earn more and have a better life in the UK.

Trouble is the British people who are already here also want a better life and its just not possible for everyone to get a slice of the pie. Someone has to lose out and all too often its the Brits.

good question. why do they all want to come here. I think they all have this idylic view of Britain that no longer exists (did it ever really exist?). People see this country as a place of opportunity and in many ways it is. You will earn a lot more money working here than you will working in eastern europe but i think a lot of the people who come here are disappointed by how things are, how they are treated and just how difficult it can be to get work. Maybe as more go back to where they came from the truth will start to spread, less will come and we can actually get on with restoring this slightly run-down and crumbling country and return it to the great nation it deserves to be.

This is the IMMIGRATION forum. Were you expecting questions about cooking or something???? And most questions seem to be from Brits ranting about how bad their life is and how it's all everybody else's fault. But I suppose you will only read those questions that back up your political views. And how can you whinge about immigrants when you're an immigrant yourself? I bet they love you in NZ!!!

You'll notice that in other countries, others whinge about this issue too.
Yet they can't wait to leave. Some of the most popular TV programmes here involve buying property abroad. So you are advocating that Brits shouldn't be allowed to emigrate?

It's not a bad country, but there's a few too many people who moan.

great question.I don't think i can change your opinion,Britain is going to the dogs rapidly.suburbs of Bristol are changing rapidly into 'shanty towns',where immigrants set up home, open cafes, markets, etc, catering for all their OWN needs,so they don't have to integrate with us.Pay a visit to them, and be treated with suspicion, even aggression, and wonder at what the hell they are talking about,as no-one speaks English...I have to say,all of the polish i have come across work hard...but the Somali's',they are a different kettle of fish..most DONT work, have brought along wives/children.are ALWAYS in the benefit office/citizens advice bureau , and the few I've' seen working are extremely rude to us,especially our females.they have taken over WHOLE SUBURBS of Bristol, and these places are now no-go areas for us 'whites'.That's why they come.
HOUSE/FLAT
NO RENT
NO COUNCIL TAX
FREE PRESCRIPTIONS
CLOTHING VOUCHERS
FOOD VOUCHERS
CHILD BENEFIT!!!!
AND A COUNCIL/GOVT THAT COW-TOWS TO THEIR RELIGIOUS DEMANDS
If nothing DRASTIC is done, within 15yrs,this country will be beyond recognition to its once 'green and pleasant land' image.120,000,000 population prediction!! what a hell-hole it will be then! It seems to me all those good Brits died in those 2 wars for nothing more than to pave the way for Islam to walk in the front door and make itself at home, like a nuisance friend who kips on your sofa for a while, and ends up taking over your house and putting you out on the street.
