I have just moved from the UK to the USA. I miss home a lot. If you moved to a different country (or maybe you did) what do you think you would miss most about your home country?

Family/friends are missed by everyone. I'm thinking you want details:
Chicken Wings, freeway driving, Grocery stores open 24/7 for that midnight "gotta have" cookie dough ice cream!
Tim Horton's coffee!
Hundreds of channels cable/satellite TV.

I moved to Germany for several years. The only thing I missed was my family & friends. A lot of things were different but it was an adventure . Instead of missing the old stuff, I was fascinated with new.

I missed (I was in Asia) Sunday newspapers you could read all day, North Carolina barbecue (chopped pork with spicy vinegar) and other Southern food (hush puppies, brunswick stew, grits, pecan pie, ice tea with every meal), college sports (equally important as professional sports but with more passion - go NCSU!!), courtesy on the roads, honest policemen - try giving a North Carolina Highway Patrolman a $5 bill for a speeding ticket and see if HE lets you off....

I would miss everything, I can't leave my home country! You are brave to go to another country. I like travel but I must go home. My family, my friends and my home state, familiar sights and sounds and food. Just everything.
