Immigration - July 2007

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Immigration

State by State, Town by town, city by city tough laws against the swarm of un grateful illegal alien trespassers are passing around the country. Combine this with the brutal failure of the US Senare bill, it looks pretty grim for the illegal lobby as every were they turn they hit a speed bump. The days of freebies are over for this hoard of takers and time to go go go.

Are they going to fix this problem and I do mean P-R-O-B-L-E-M, and truly threaten anyone who tries to come here ILLEGALLY again. Or are they just all gonna apologize and open the doors even wider. And just for the record, I am not just talking about Mexicans, I am talking about every single illegal immigrant. Frankly, I think that the whole world owes America an apology.

Can we use the lesson of Vietnam and the existing goodwill of the Vietnamese people to the US in spite of what we did there there? Is it because so many Vietnamese people have cousins and brothers who are also Americans?

When are WE THE PEOPLE going to be heard?

We want a fence - not a dreamer’s toy. We want our tax dollars spent wisely - not on croney contracts.

Multi-billions - meaning 3-5 could have placed 250-380 miles of new secure fencing on the border.

This is ridiculous. A fence with motion detectors would catch more people than the occasional drone.

A new predator is on the horizon. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued task orders to physically and electronically seal this stretch of the desert under a multi-billion dollar contract named the Secure Border Initiative Net (SBInet) to curb the flow of undocumented immigrants, drugs, and potential terrorists by 2013. This first $20 million pilot phase, which is named Project 28 after the length of this part of the desert that it is supposed to cover, was to be completed by mid-June 2007.

The subsidiary that makes these weapons -- Boeing Integrated Defense Systems Unit -- will try to achieve what previous border surveillance programs like America's Shield Initiative, Border and Transportation Security Network, and others have failed to do so far: create a mix of infrastructure, technology and personnel that will make the border impermeable.

Obviously amnesty is NOT the answer. I think mass deportation is possible, but it would receive much criticism I'm afraid.

I think the best way to deal with the ones here already is crack down on employers, landlords, take away public benefits (free health care, school, housing, food stamps etc)

If we did that, the illegals would have no more jobs, no more freebies, etc. They will have no choice but to self-deport.

Also I think it's a good idea to take away automatic citizenship to children born to illegals. I think that might not only solve their breeding problem, but it will sever their 'anchor' to be here since their offspring would be illegal too.

What do you think?

Concerning the illigals from Mexico. How about the tens of thousands of illigal Arabs - Radicals- that have slip into this country, illigally, undetected, with destruction of the USA as their foremost plans ? I was trained, in the 1950's, in a clandestine part of the US Army, on how to disrupt AN AGRESSOR'S country. The politicians have, and have for years, had plans for their sakes, on how to survive such an event !!!The H.L.S. dept. is a farce, and I do not believe they can protect any one! I have not yet heard of one Mexican illigal blowing himself up, killing dozens of people, just so that he can go set with Allah, and have 72 virgens given to him. There are now, thousands of cases whereby the radical Arab Muslums, have used suicide bombs!! I could train 30 people, and at a predetermined time, bring all activities, in the USA to a dead halt!!No banking, no gas, no electric, no food, no cells, NOTHING!!!Anyone have any ideas for themselves and families?? Picture this:
Mr. and Mrs. Doe, they:
1.Are not from Mexico
3.Entered the US with a tourist VISA
4.Their I-94 document said they could stay for 6 month
5.They never left the country, it's been 6 years, therefore, their time here has legally expired (I guess)
6.They applied for a social security, they now have one
7.They have driver's licenses and speak English
8.They don't have a work authorizaton card, so they do stuff such as...clean our houses, cut our grasses, build our homes, baby-sit our children. (and get paid in cash or personal check weekly)
9.They have bank accounts and credit cards
10.They bought a house a few years ago
11.They had American children meanwhile
But:
1.Their driver's license will expire in 2007 and the State law requires that they show green cards (which they don't have) in order to renew their driver's license.
2. There is no hope that they can stay in this country if they can't drive. They feel they must leave.

"How illegal are they"?

Illegal immigrants murder an average of 12 Americans a day which comes to 4,380 a year. Intoxicated illegal aliens kill another 13 Americans a day which comes to 4745 a year. Combined thats 9,125 a year. Since 9/11 thats nearly 26,280 murdered and 28,470 killed by drunk illegals or 54,750 combined. In the war on terror we've lost 3,000 on 9/11 , 3,600 in Iraq and 300 in Afganistahn or aproximately 6,900. If thats not all about 8 children are molested by illegals everyday or 2,920 a year.

I've seen studies that have higher and lower numbers, even if you divide these numbers in half thats too damn many! These criminals should be kicked out of our country by any means necessary!

If that doesn't disturb you then look at this

the color "yellow-green" is actually a green color with a yellow dash to it.

also, the color "green-yellow" is yellow with a green dash to it.

therefore the first word is just describing the type of color indicated in the second word.

now think about this. "mexican-american" is just an american with a dash of mexican [culture, heritage] in him/her. "mexican" is just describing the type of american that the person is

i hear people say that it should be "american-mexican." but wouldn't that just be a mexican with an american touch to him/her?

therefore, wouldn't being a "mexican-american" designate you as more of an american than the latter designation?

just a thought

(also, for those that say it should be just american, that's cool too, i'm just addressing this issue that's been on my mind)

Im African American wit Lakota Oyate ancestry. And I dont get why Mexica Spayolas think they are indigneous to the US. The Mexica are Nahuatl Indians who once lived in what became Southwest America and then migrated south into what is Mexico. Thats where Aztecas come from. The point is they LEFT along time ago and have no modern claim. Yes Mexico had land in Cali, Arizona etc but that land came to them from the white Spayola Conquerors. SPAIN not the original Mexica. Aztecas werent in America. We already HAD Southwest Indians. WTF are they talking bout?

Hi. My husband and I are from another country and we've been in the U.S. working temporarily. Our time here is about to expire and, therefore, we will leave the U.S. back to our country in January 2008. During the time we were here we had 2 children. One is now 2 years old and the other one is only 6 month. They both have their American birth certifcates, Social security and American passports. I heard that if I take them away from here before a certain age they may lose their American citizenship. Is that true? We will have to leave the country anyways bc we don't want to be here illegaly, but I would consider asking for some sort of extension to make sure they don't lose their citizenship. If you know the answer please list your source. Thank you so much!

Obviously Congress failed horribly with their recent attempt to tackle the immigration issue. American voters have made it clear they oppose "amnesty" in almost any form.
My question is, will National (biometric) ID cards be the next step, or at least an inevitable step that the federal government will take to "secure our borders"?
If so, should ID cards be distributed only to undocumented migrants, or the entire population?
