Curiously Cubans in Cuba blame the Imperialism ( USA ) for their poverty, but exiles in little Havana blame Fidel...that's funny...LOL

Source? Doubt very much Cubans would go from Castro to corrupt Mexico, where there are no jobs. Much easier to go the 90 miles to America where the rest of their family is.

Mexico would certainly be a lot easier transition then South Florida.
I grew up in Florida but ended up leaving a few years ago. The prices of real estate have gone up so much that the average person can no longer buy their own home there. Even with both me and my husband working full time in better then average jobs for the area, we wouldn't be able to afford a mortgage there. Most of my friends there will be stuck renting until the housing boom goes back down. Yeah, if I absolutely had to decide between Florida and Mexico, even I'd pick Mexico. At least I'd be able to own property there.

I could see the linguistic and cultural reasons for emigrating from Cuba to Mexico, but from a "freedom" standpoint, its hard to believe it. The Mexican economy is in the tank and there is far better economic opportunity from Cubans in south Florida.
Another reason is that its easier for Cubans to travel to Mexico and just stay instead of making a boat and sailing to Florida.

This is not an opinion: An Cuban immigrant has to land on land in the U.S. to get amnesty, they can't just get picked up in water, the U.S. Coast Guard stops them, a few get through. They go to internment camps, the process for them getting amnesty is a lengthy process, Sometimes taking years.

I'd think, primarily, the language. Plus, Mexico isn't full of creepy old people, and doesn't have Jeb Bush for a governor.

Where did you get this info? Besides, who cares if they go to Mexico. Just don't come here!
BTW, it's IMMIGRATE to Mexico, not EMIGRATE. There's a difference. Emigrate means to go away from.

You are probably right, but Miami is pretty darn Cuban. It may be getting too hard because of patrols finding them and turning them back.
