Wether we in the U.S want to accept it or not, the job of world baby-sitter has been forcefully granted to us. History backs up this statement very well. Remember WW1? We had to go in there and end things. How about WW2? This makes my statement even more poignant. Imagine if we chose to leave that fiasco be. Europe would have been property of a very harsh German reich. In the Persian Gulf war we saved a country and communism was halted all thanks to our efforts. This difficult job of overseeing world relations wont end anytime soon. There are still bickering countries and unsteady alliances. I dont know when the next big one will happen but I would bet you anything that we will be in there to break it up.

My belief is that it is time to stop allowing immigrants (legal or illegal) into this country. Back in the 1800's, our government pushed to get as many immigrants into the U.S as possible simply because there was still a whole lot of uncharted and dangerous land to discover. That was when a trip to the pasific ocean from the atlantic meant a harrowing adventure. However, times are different now. We have discovered all there is to discover and we have tamed the wild west. Now we are far too overcrowded to continue allowing more citizens to come into this country. More citizens mean over crowded emergency rooms, less jobs, more traffic, more litter, and more tension. Keep in mind that we have eneough trouble as it is with people refusing to assimilate with our American culture.

I live near microsoft and I swear 90%of the occupants in my apartment complex are from India, in fact this whole area is SWAMPED with them, its not just a few here & there..its like an invasion. Is this Bush's way to help americans, by brinhging in people from other countrys to the our jobs? Seriously this is disturbing.

I don't see how this is against their rights. Can someone explain this to me?? I am trying to understand how if someone is here illegally it is violating their "rights" for anyone to say anything about it.

Thanks!

every black I know is so excited about a black man running for president but what is not being discussed at all is that his mother is as white as I am and his father wasnt even from the U.S.A His mother was a jayhawker from Kansas so he's technically a "mulatto" not a true "african-american" but no one seems to point that out can anyone tell me why?

Im not a racist person.
I just dont think its right that if we moved to a different ethnic country and built thousands of churches or whatever, we'd get quite as warm as welcome.

No flaming please

I mean come on!!

How hard is it to understand that we CANNOT SUPPORT the entire world?! It's not about race, hate, or anything else...it's about the numbers, and the legality of it right?

So please stop trying to convince me to support ANY illegal activity, especially one that I have to see my TAX dollars support. I am really getting tire of debating something that is so totally stupid in its foundation. Geeeeeeez!!!!!!

If the parents are illigal than they should take their children back with them. They are banking on the fact that maybe because they habe a child here, they will get amnisty. The government should make them take the kids with them

I realize that I cannot practice law per se where I am not licensed, but I can do legal things. I may not represent someone in another state, but surely I can assist another lawyer in another state in various capacities. I was wondering if I could do legal assistant type work in Canada with the TN immigration status without taking the Alberta Bar.
