Fair may not be the right word but it is true that to hold for example an American passport compared to say a Nigerian one means that as individuals we have more freedom to travel/migrate etc..

Should the Government of any country from which people have come, pay the costs for their "failed amnesty" citizens to be flown back home or should the cost be borne by the country ordering the deportation ?

I'm a Canadian citizen and filed for a K-1 fiance visa to move to the USA to marry my American fiance. So far all we got from Immigration was a letter stating that they've recieved the forms and fee. I know some of what all is involved, but I'm not quite sure about where I'll have to go for my interview here in Canada when I do recieve the information package. From what I heard awhile ago, there is only 2 US Consulates in Canada that handle the fiance visas. One In Montreal, QC and The other in Vancouver, BC. I live in Toronto and I do know there is a US Consulate here. Does this Consulate handle the fiance visas? I really would like to know before I recieve the information pkg, that way I can start putting money aside for transportation if I have to go to Montreal.

the corrupt politics where we don't elect people based on what they can do for us but based on what the other guy did wrong. Where our country motto has changed from "of the people, by the people and for the people" to "of the politician, by the politiciian and for the politician".
even if you stay up on the issues and write in, they misunderstand the point or don't care and vote for whatever is in their best interests.

"Bush and Pelosi see an opportunity for compromise on immigration, said Hoyer, 67, a Maryland Democrat. House and Senate Republicans were unable to agree on a Bush-backed proposal for a guest worker program and giving undocumented immigrants a path toward citizenship.

``The president's observation was, and our observation was, that we are probably going to have an easier time with the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives than he had with the Republican majority in the House of Representatives,'' on that issue, Hoyer said."

So, what do those who voted Democrat think will come out of this?

I live on the East coast & i see every year the growing number of immigrants from Eastern Europe flooding my State & the neighbouring ones, by the thousands. All received their Visas through our Good US Embassies through a so called Visa Lottery & Summer Camp, some even said that in Eastern Europe u could buy a US Visa from an American employee of the US Embassy , for 3000 dollars, like the US Embassy in Russia , Belarus, Ukraine & Romania. Illegality is EVERYWHERE NOW !!!

Some powerfull reports had shown a rather very sad future for our country due to outsourcing, huge flow of immigrants, global competetion in the market, lay offs & lose of jobs, corporate greed & expensive wars, huge defecit, bankrupt social security & the list is big...
The reports read that by the year 2025-2030, America will no longer be the Economical , Military Super Power & Americans will be the largest migrating race, looking for a better life elsewhere. That America is the dieing Empire on its last breath of oxigen, just as before her the Soviet Union, The Roman Empire, The British , the Frensh ,the Turkish & all the other Empires that once held great powers. Some even see a Revolution or a Civic disobiedience of great magnetitude.
What do u think ???

In a nutshell, are you a "throw out all illegals" type of person or are you a "get them all documented" type of person ?

I have read a more than a few responses basically saying you Americans are idiots and we are going to use your system to our benefit because we are illegal and you are stupid for not manipulation your system for your own benefit. Do we really need people like that here?

Come January I will be contacting my newly elected representatives letting them know my stance on this issue, which is this. Welcome legal immigrants into America. Give local and state law enforcement agencies the power to arrest any people without legal documentation to be here. Heavy fines for employers using illegals. It's time we took control of the flood of people entering our country illegally. Write your representatives, complaing on here won't help.
