Come January I will be contacting my newly elected representatives letting them know my stance on this issue, which is this. Welcome legal immigrants into America. Give local and state law enforcement agencies the power to arrest any people without legal documentation to be here. Heavy fines for employers using illegals. It's time we took control of the flood of people entering our country illegally. Write your representatives, complaing on here won't help.

I also wrote my outgoing representatives before the election telling them any who support amnesty in any form will not get a vote from me. Didn't hear back from a single one. I live in Florida.

I would rather suggest you organise a convention of the like minded people and invite the representatives to listen to the people's anxiety. This will be more useful.

Good luck. The Democrats now hold power and by playing to the Latin vote they hope to increase their ranks in future elections. You can contact all the representatives you want without much hope. Just don't forget to pay your taxes as these same representatives will not allow you to BREAK THE LAW when it comes to taking/then spending/ your money on the poor illegals.

In Australia a while ago now, we kept picking up boats bringing hundreds of illegal immigrants into Australia. These people threw their kids off a boat to get our authorities to pick them up and bring them into the country, they all ofcourse went straight into an immigration camp. These people bring a lot of sickness with them due to bad conditions on these boats and that's not fair to the legal residents of the country. Unfortunately, they still find a way in. The government do what they can to prevent this problem but it would be very difficult for it to completely stop.

Actually, this is a great forum for discussing the issue, and who put you in charge? I DID write to my representatives. One of em even wrote me back.

I'm confident that this one's not going to get 'swept under the rug'.
