Unless I am mistaken, and I do not think that I am, this is the USA, and we are an English Speaking Country. If anyone comes here Illegally, or Legally, then must learn the Language of their New Country. It must be mandated by Law, that No One can become a Citizen of Our Country without first learning to speak, and to read and write American English! All Government Forms must be in English ONLY! If these People do not want to become Americans, then they need to Leave our Country! We do not need a Divided Country like Canada.

Some do and if you are a Spanish speaker your interview will be with someone fluent in that language. For your information, INS exists now as USCIS and is part of Homeland Security. Many people who work for the former INS were rolled into this new entity and are highly motivated to do their job. When it gets to the state department for the final decision it appears quite politically motivated, perhaps even racist at times depending on the hearing officer and location. I hope you get one that is not and dedicated to their job.

Not all of them do but usually they would have a few people in the offices that are fluent in other languages to help anyone who do not speak English or understand the language properly.

It is required of all Border Patrol and Immigration officials. It is taught at the academy. All agents must be proficient in Spanish or they cannot graduate from the academy and are unemployed as a result.

There are 2 substantial components influencing this phenomenon. at the beginning, the gap for the common eu to return and forth to Mexico is substantially greater than that of the common American, as is the cost to accomplish that. for this reason, the inducement to return and forth to the country, and to income approximately this is custom and language is likewise greater or they does not difficulty. individuals can return and forth there for an afternoon, do even though they are going to do, and go away. for this reason, there are various greater "informal vacationers" who have not taken the time to income the language and custom. the 2d influencing ingredient is the mentality of the common American in the direction of language and different cultures. the place maximum Europeans are multilingual and are somewhat greater drawn to studying approximately different cultures, individuals in basic terms talk one language and experience that the only custom well worth appreciation is their own. for this reason they typically do not decide to income yet another language or learn yet another custom, exceedingly one which they despise as much as that of Mexico.
