Immigration - October 2006

Are the Mexicans an ethnic group or a Nationality?
Are the Jews an ethnic group or a religion?
Are the Africans a Color or a Continental population?
Are Americans the Estadounidenses or any other one in this huge continent?
Are the US Citizens a Color or a race?
Who is an Anglo? Who an Hispanic? Who a Latino?
Are Asians all from the same country? Is Israel and palestine in Asia or in Africa???? Don't answer me all this questions... just think a lillte bit about your heritage and about your immigrant ancestors. Forgey the Laws for a little bit... Laws are being reformed.. and I think besides reforming the immigration laws, the Calssifications must be also reformed and updated.
Seems like we are still living in the British colonial era... with Indians , Slaves and Cowboys... it's weird see the way you pervive Immigrants and Immigrati!

If we have Muslims and Jews... wahy not Catholic immigrants?
or
If we have whites and Blacks, why not Browns, Yellows, Pinks, reds, etc?

If a person showed up at your door today and told you,not asked, but told you that he was now going to live with you. He then informed you that he was going to move his entire family in with you,and that he was going to need you to move out of the master bedroom onto the couch in order to accomodate his grandmother.
After that he informed you that since he would need all his money for a nice car and booze you would have to foot the bill for everything else,health insurance etc. Would all that be cool with you? Because that is pretty much what we have here,you have 12 million "immigrants" some of whom are working,most of whom are paying no taxes,many who pay some taxes due to fraudulently aquired SS numbers in order to get employment,and millions of whom are collecting billions in fraudulently obtained social services,the state of TX alone catches way too many every year to deny this fact no matter how hard you try. If all thats ok what your adress,I'd love a free ride from a fool.

I have some friends who have been here for several years and are struggling to get visas. They are paying lawyers thousands and thousands of dollars so that they can live here legally (one freind of mine has spent $40,000 already). Are they just wasting their money? Is there any possible way that these people can live here legally?

Should we make it a condition of gaining American citizenship that every Mexican National be required to turn in to the Immigration & Customs Enforcement, at least 25 of their known Illegal fellows? We get good law abiding citizens & the illegals get deported. Sounds like a win win situation to me. What do you think? II

I am asian who married american.I had an interview at the US Embassy, they granted my visa and the Consul told me that I need to enter the US within 6 months..Does it mean I need to stay in the US? HOW TO YOU CLASS SOMEONE AS HAVING THE SAME NATIONALITY AS YOU?



I'm asking this because in the country I live there is a debate going on..about Multi-culturism..and 'if foreigners don't like our way of life they should leave'
This debate is often about British Asians... Most of them happen to be born in Britain. And in my opinion just as British as anyone else..and with the same rights to dislike or like the UK as any other British citizen


So what I'm asking is how long does a person have to be in your country before they are counted as having an equal voice with 'native' born citizens..One generation..2 generation..3, or 4..

Must they be of the same ethnic stock of the majority..ie pure born English or French..What about tradional minorities in Europe such as the Roma..?

In other words, what processes do people have to go through to become LEGAL aliens or LEGAL citizens? I'm trying to figure out why illegal aliens aren't coming here legally, is it that hard?
