It is just as expensive (to live in) as anywhere else, you know, you work, you get paid, and usually it's all gone well before the end of the month, so living here you don't really notice, it's pretty much like anywhere else, but, if you can manage to save up enough dough and take a break then the difference shows, but that is just as hard as it is anywhere else, you know. Why? You thinking of coming? It is nice, and quite a safe place. You can drink the water, and walk the streets at night.

Big bucks, pal. Figure a couple of grand at least for a cheap night out. A draft beer can be seventy five bones at a nice club. It can cost a couple of grand to rent a place the size of a closet, and food is through the roof.

Life is very expensive there. Food cost twice as much. Clothes more than USA. Rents are exorbitant. Not many ppl have cars or parking spots. Even if they have a car, they use it sparingly.
So even if their salaries are a bit higher, their expenses are much higher/

Consider that New York is about 0.90 in living costs, Japan is about 1.6...A single shrimp can cost $1.00 dollar.....a water melon of about 3 kgs cost about $10.00 US.....most Japanese spend about 120% of their income a month....

I don't care what high standard of living they have there...personally, I would never want to live there, to me it seems that it is over crowded, the people are over worked, and from the footage I see on TV, too many neon signs with flashing lights and televisions in their city streets. I'd have a panic attack.
