Canadians live better so they are not interested in coming to the US
Cubans are refugees, exiles, and they have a blockade in their island, they don't have a choice.
Mexicans.... Many of them were here before any of you.
Well Mexico is the main partner of the USA and the only neighbor with a dynamic and growing Immigration phenomenon. Gringos are also in Mexico,,,, Jubilees, spring breakers, investors, diplomatic personnel, hippies, you name it.

Since Canada isn't a third world country, you have a little bit of undocumented immigrants in the US..
Since Mexico is not yet a fully industrialized nation and it is right next to the US, about half of undocumented immigrants are from Mexico...
The US also has many immigrants from Central America, South America, and from all over the world.
But with no doubt, location of countries will play a role on immigration.
