You can shoot at them, you can build walls, you can degrade them, you can write lies about them, you can do what ever you want, but at the end, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop them from looking for a better life and that my friends is the fact. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP THEM FROM COMING AND MOVING NEXT DOOR TO YOU!!!!

It is actually quite easy to stop nearly all "illegals" -- undocumented aliens -- from coming. Here's how:

I am sitting writing this yards from Lac Léman in Switzerland. Two miles away is the French border. France has many "sans papiers", although I suppose a lot fewer than the USA. Why? Because they all want to go to Britain. Remember the hoards camped at Sangatte, near Calais, until they closed it down?

And why do undocumented aliens and "asylum seekers" -- really economic migrants -- want to go to the USA and the UK and other Anglo-Saxon countries? Because those countries don't have national ID cards, mandatory registration with the city hall or police whenever you move. You can't get a job or start a business or open a bank account without proof of your status.

And here in Switzerland, not only is life more expensive (I walked back from the French side yesterday having gone there just because groceries are so much cheaper), but nobody can live undocumented. And a referendum recently tightened the rules even more: http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/1326

Somebody has indeed opined that Switzerland should be a model for America: http://www.speakeasy.invisionzone.com/lofiversion/index.php/t143.html

But will Americans put up with an end to its "frontier mentality" that privacy dictates NO identity cards? That political correctness dictates NO central registry and no double checking of fake ID and fake social security cars? Switzerland knows who all its citizens are. Neither the USA nor the UK know who are its citizens, except those who happen to apply for passports.

You will have to exchange your privacy for a system of citizens' registration. (Yes, I know there is registration of domicile in Florida and Louisiana but it's totally voluntary and most people don't bother.)

Also, you will have to do something about the UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES of globalization. NAFTA didn't suck American jobs to Mexico as Ross Perot predicted. The jobs went to China. And Mexico had to accept US exports of subsidized, and therefore cheap corn and other crops. And subsidized cotton went to Africa and wiped out African farmers the way Mexican ones were wiped out. And the African farmers tried to migrate to . . . Europe. To save their families from starvation.

So: even registration and ID cards aren't enough. You have to enforce the employment laws and put employers out of business if they hire illegals. Even if the alternative is that they go bankrupt: http://snurl.com/pickers

Now you know what you have to do. Erode what you think are your civil rights. Decide what is your priority. And if you don't like second-generation migrants being legal, change the 14th Amendment so that "anchor babies" can be deported the same as those who were smuggled in with their parents at age one.

Find an honest and moral method of instituting a national id for all legal and citizens, naturalized and born on US soil. Follow President Ronald Wilson Reagan's ideas regarding this subject. Get a lot of ideas from Americans as to how to solve since people like to be appreciated and NOT ignore and taken for granted. A lot of great ideas can be tough off.

The best way to stop the illegal problem is to get their stupid home countries to shape up and start doing what they have failed to do for so many years: PROVIDE FOR THEIR CITIZENS.

The sooner we (if you want intervention)/they (if you prefer revolution) kill off their corrupt or incompetent governments and replace them with better more patriotic and dedicated ones then the sooner their nations will be better off as a whole and they will be less inclined to abandon their countries for a foreign land.

And I dont give a frack about their reasons, illegal is illegal and that is a fact.

Instead of thinking how to stop them you should think how to make them contribute to your society. They're already hard workers. Give them a social security and make them pay for their taxes like everybody else. They're here. This is a reality. So, as might as well get to know who and where they are.

Senor Indio--- drug dealers too are looking for a better life. So thatr makes it ok? Sure you can stop them. Fine and arrest their employers. That simple.

The IRS can surely find people using bogus social security #s.

INDIO: Do tell us why you feel you can break our laws?

Want to bet, We kept your people south of the border for centuries, and we can do it again. Fear of certain death is a great motivator.
