As you can see with the border towns Texas, California, and Arizona, 95% of the congress members with hispanic last names voted against builing a fence. And they even seemed to influence the other members of the congress in there states (border towns). And most of the Hispanic last names in non border states also voted against the fence while other races voted for it. And Most of the hispanic congress members are from border towns. Does anyone else find these statistics a bit odd?

........however, because of it's high profile it is masking the fact that hundreds of thousands of immigrants from other continents are arriving.
Many of the immigrants from the new EU states are here to work (though I suspect many have come for a better way of life too), and will eventually go home. However there are two sources of immigration that should be a key concern for the British people.

1/ The number of migrants from Africa has soared
2/ Migrants from the middle eat are also arriving in huge numbers (I would urge you to treat ONS figures with extreme scepticism, I work for the statistical division of the government and have projected figures to hand).

Two problems here. The first is that people given permission to stay in the UK usually invite their extended families to join them, 1 person from India can soon equal 30.
The jobs taken formerly by these migrants are now taken by the EU arrivals due to their reputation as hard workers.

Can I renounce my (Australian) citizenship although I have no desire to be a citizen of any other country and I was born here (Australia). It's just that I want to be a citizen of the world rather than one linked to a specific country. If I did renounce it would I be locked up in a detention centre with other hopeful refugees?

His sophomoric impersonation of the stereotypical
Mexican immigrant is blatantly obviously phony. Both the little bad Spanish he used as well as the English syntax prove thispoint.
right I speack?

"House and Senate negotiators agreed Monday evening to spend $1.2 billion to install hundreds of miles of fence and vehicle barriers along the Mexican border as part of a $34.8 billion spending plan for the Department of Homeland Security for the coming year.

The biggest increase in spending in the bill, on which the House and Senate are expected to take final action on this week, is in the area of border security and immigration enforcement, which would get a total of $21.3 billion, an 11 percent jump over this year.

This includes money to hire 1,500 new Border Patrol agents, increasing the force to 14,800, and to add 6,700 detention beds. The $1.2 billion for border security is designated for a traditional fence, vehicle barriers and a so-called virtual fence made up of cameras and sensors.

First grade class comes in from recess. Teacher asks Alice: "What did you do at recess?"

Alice says, "I played in the sand box."

Teacher says "That's good. Go to the blackboard, and if you can write 'sand' correctly, I'll give you a fresh-baked cookie." Alice does and gets a cookie.

Teacher asks Billy what he did at recess. Billy says, "I played with Alice in sand box." Teacher says, "Good. If you write 'Box’ correctly on blackboard, I'll give you a fresh baked cookie." Billy does, and gets a cookie, too.

Teacher then asks Mustaffa Abdul Machmoud what he did at recess. He says, "I tried to play with Alice and Billy, but they threw rocks at me."

Teacher says, "They threw rocks at you? That sounds like blatant racial discrimination! If you can go the blackboard and write 'blatant racial discrimination' I'll give you a cookie."

What if they kept tens of thousands of people waiting at the border crossing while they went home and watched some dopey TV show and drank beer? All because they heard a rumour that a bad guy might be coming to the border?Do you freaking believe this?
What would you do to someone who pulled this stunt?

Her comments;

You made the biggest mistake of your life. First of all, you should never have called the people on this website white trash and low class and you DEFINITELY shouldn't have grouped me in with that class of people. I have quite a bit of pull in the real estate industry. You just killed your career.

my response;

You idiotic dumb bag, you just made the worst comment of your life. How dare you assume your miserable insignificant puny person can impact my destiny? The world does not need a ridiculous self righteous nut case like you that self soothes from feeling superior.

The fact that you run your mouth and brag about your I.Q and your blue blood tells us how rotten you are inside. Please cease to make yourself look foolish, it befits you but it’s in your best interest to halt that behavior.

illegal immigration negatively affects us legal residents by bringing down our education system, healthcare system, economy, crime rate, and hence overall quality of life?

Do they realize it, but purposely ignore it because they are illegal, their relatives and/or friends are, or are they just uninformed?

Why do some believe it is a victimless crime?

For example, my friend got into a car accident with a group of them (DUI) and now her baby has permanent brain/spinal cord damage.

She may receive money from uninsured motorist insurance... but sometimes money isn't enough. Her child will have critical lifelong health problems because of our failure to seal our borders.

The ones I deal with in my neighborhood do not want to assimilate. They hang Mexico flags from their roof and turn the streets into Nogales.

And they're innocent and looking for better lives?

Mexico's Calderon Rips Border Wall Plan MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Mexican President-elect Felipe Calderon on Monday slammed U.S. plans to build more fences on its southern border, saying it would not solve illegal immigration.

"We are worried ... about the actions that the United States is discussing concerning building a border wall and tightening restrictions on migrants," Calderon said after meeting with Mexico's foreign secretary.

The U.S. Senate is debating legislation to build 700 miles of fence on the U.S.-Mexico border along with other security measures, which the House has already passed.

President Vicente Fox, of Calderon's conservative National Action Party, has called the plans "shameful" and said the fence would be like the Berlin Wall. Calderon succeeds Fox on Dec. 1.There are an estimated 11 million Mexicans in the United States, about half of whom are illegal. Last year, Mexican migrants sent home more than $20 billion in remittances.

My coworkers/housemates R about 90% from1 particular impoverished country (for this venue, I'll call it "Venus"). Of that 90% about 80 % of those R Muslim. 2 of many possible examples: They pray in Islamic chants, often not in the bedroom/other private area. In a congested area of the living room they say that praying facing east is necessary. Is this the only area in our house that faces east? I have been told to turn the TV which is at a normal level--down or mute it b/c it's interfering with their “focus on Allah”. Another: There’s a store down the street from the building I work in. Every time I go to the store, I ask if anyone needs anything b/c it’s quite a hike. Whenever when they go, they only ask others from Venus what they may need. I've asked them why & they say it's "cultural". Americans say "It's cultural yes but, only b/c you're female and not to be respected by their culture." How can I tell if a behavior is cultural or the person's just an azz? What do you think?

according to recent population recordings, the latin community (this is excluding the illegal immigrants) is growing to such a degree in america, that one day, it will be the most populous one

when this happens, how exacly will you view america? i feel very sad for those of you who will look down apon it, because if you ask me, i think hispanics could run america just as well as anyone else.

we have faced the same bloodshed for this country. remember the alamo? we were there fighting on the american's team as well.

when someone tells me this is america, i should know, because i am mexican. growing up, i had always wondered why the government insisted on slapping the lable "mexican-american" on my people

then it occured to me that we were regarded as "different" and that america is not completely the land of the free unless we are all viewed as "american" and not seperated on the fill in the bubble sheet

we are americans too. how do you of us in office? running america?

The fence bill may come up for a vote near the end of the week, but they are tying the detainee bill to it, so that has to come up first. The REPUBLICAN Senators (granted we expected it of the Democrat Senators) are saying things from 'well maybe if it is 370 miles not 700 like the bill we passed' and 'I want to tie agricultural workers to it to let it pass'. It is being held hostage.

Will you contact your Senator and ask that they pass H.R.6061 without change or gamesmanship, and that they FUND it?
