I'm getting really sick of this talk about illegal Mexican immigrants and just Mexicans in general. If your so against them why are you giving them so much attention? Use this place to get it all out, make your argument, say what you need to say and lets move on, we are all just saying the same things over and over and there are many other aspects of immigration (and life) we can discuss.

What's the deal? Okay What is the deal on immagrants and taxes? What's the deal on the welfare and healthcare handouts? In Nevada where I live my friend got fired from work cause she lost her work permit that led me to believe that you cannot work unless you are legal. Yet there are people on here saying they pay taxes and they are illegal. And Do the Illegals really get free health care and welfare and never pay it back? What are the facts? I think alot of people are being really mean to eachother and they really don't know all the facts. Does anyone who knows actual laws want to answer?

You are driving down the road with your family which has your kids....when all of a sudden you are stuck by another vehicle...you and your family are rushed to the ER..noone knows who hit you...After months of the investagation it is found that was Illegals that were here..and you report to your insurance...which of course there isn't anything they can do....cause they are not LEGAL...So how would you handle this?

most americans think that if immigrants have their children born in the US, they shouldn't be an american citizen. This is ridiculous and stupid, if you are born in the US, automatically you are a citizen. It is never gonna change. You shouldn't blame the children. Americans are cold and racist. We don't go to you country to have fun, we do it because we need. And if we want to have our kids there, it is our problem not yours! So, mind your business, You can't think of anything else, besides war, immigrants, money... think of God a little, think of the poor countries, the poor children who are dying because they don't have anything to eat, and try to help someone, I'm sure you will fell a lot better with God in your hearts than thinking about war, people being killed... Americans need to understand that every person has their values!!!!

In Canada they have English and France. In Belgium they have Dutch and French. South Africa has many official languages. Their are many other countries that have many people that speak different languages and they have made them part of the official language of the country. Why can't the United States embrace their Spanish speaking population and make the country officially bi-lingual.

Hypothetically, illegals get amnesty (a stretch but just for the sake of argument) and more illegals come here. Then the illegals who got amnesty begin fighting with the new illegals for jobs. The amnesty group complains that the new illegals are taking their jobs for less money.

I don't want to mention the word, but suffice it to say, my boy is half Mexican. I just found out that a couple of the kids in his day care have been calling him this word.

He doesn't know it's an insult, he just thought it was a new nickname, and now wants to name his new puppy after this word.

How would you explain to a four year old that it's not a nice word, without hurting his feelings, since he's been being called that?

Or is it better to just let it go, and let him think it's a cool nickname, but not a good name for his puppy?
