If we all got along how would the world economy survive with their subsidies for farrmers, the defence contracts which cause the price of metals to increase and so forth, thats just a very short answer without getting into a philisophical discussion, but without conflict then the world economy whichever way you view it would most likely collapse. I mean lets face it if Hitler had been left to go his way because "we all got on", Where would we be now, there are far to many random variables to give a correct answer, but if you believe in, Heaven, Paradise or whatever, then that is probably the closest you will get "to everyone getting on,including animals"but until you die you will never know, but good luck trying.

Agreed. Fortunately, at least at Level II you can push that "down thumb" sign and make the answer hide. And turn in the abusers. Some people have nothing at all to do all day but go from question to question and post rude responses.

There is a tendency to make find reasons to disconnect from 'others' and so make them deserving of abuse. Sadly, our politicians are at the forefront of that.

But here in the US, after the nasty political seasons, one thing an outgoing president said once struck home. In this country we have turnover (in this case) of the Presidency every 4-8 years, smoothly and more or less peacefully. Other countries have to get armies, dictators, martial law etc.

So it could be worse.

Of course, what our country fosters in (foists on) other countries is not necessarily as such....
