We want our borders secure. We need them to understand opening the floodgates wider will only destroy the America we know.

So much for illegal immigration not costing our beautiful country any money. Let's see, what is our wildfire costing us so far? 1.9 million at last calculation, and it's not nearly contained yet. Hmm, they did say that the fire was started by illegals camping in the brush, leaving their campfire unattended, guess they are either stupid (I mean really, where's the common sense?) or they just don't have any respect for this great land of ours. Oh, that's right, the criminals already disrespected us by breaking into our country and ignoring our immigration laws.
So, all you freakin' pro-criminals out there, please tell me how this one is not illegal immigration costing the tax payers of this state any money. Facts only please. (I don't expect any pro-criminals to really answer this, because there are no facts to prove their point, but what the hel!, figured I'd give it a shot.)

I understand being born on a lands soil makes you a citizen, I just don't understand how it is possible to be a citizen if you parents who had you are not.

THREE THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:

1. COWS
2. THE CONSTITUTION
3. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

COWS Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give them all a cow.

THE CONSTITUTION They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it's worked for over 200 years and we're not using it anymore.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse...You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians -- it creates a hostile work environment.

And the American people have hit their boiling point with illegals. Do illegals and their sorry supporters really believe that they are going to win? It's all about votes, money and power which illegals have none.

After working for over 25 years in the Unites States of America, Serving in the military for 21 of those years, it is frustrating to hear that our government considering paying my Social Security benefits to illegal alliens who have never paid in a single cent?

This is what apathy will do in our country if we do not stand up for what is right. Your hard earned dollars that you pay to social security every paycheck will go to people who are in our country illegally and will get a FREE ride on YOUR dollar.

They want us OUT of their countries, Out of their business, but they expect and DEMAND we give them aid.....

Then they come INTO our nation and tell us we HAVE to keep their people and we HAVE to speak Spanish, and we HAVE to let them disrespect our laws and flag, and we HAVE to pay for illegal services and we HAVE to make them legal and we HAVE to let in more and we HAVE to do what THEY tell us...

Wow, what a hypocritical attitude THEY have!

Could my application be rejected if I previuosly held a green card? Im married to a US citizen, and let me green card expire as I was working abroad. Do I go through my local embassy to re-apply? How long does it take?

I hired an immigration attorney and, when it looked like I might get a bad verdict from Immigration, I left the country. Now I am considering marrying an American citizen. Actually, she is the mother of my child, who is also an American. If I hadn't viloated laws, I know I'd be in good shape. But I am worried that we won't be able to live in the States. Thank you for your help.

Because of my college education I am more apt to be in competition for a job against a legal immigrant, Ex-Pats are here working in many fields and are most likely college educated. My son goes to an International School, the school is made up of 50% Ex-Pats from England, France and the like. I have many friends that are Ex-Pats and we have had lengthy discussions about the racism, isolation that they have felt from some Americans. But keep in mind these are LEGAL immigrants. SO the argument that you only dislike illegal immigrants is mute and then there was something said about illegal immigrants causing terrorism. The last time I checked those idiots who flew in to the towers were on a legal VISA. SO what are the arguments now?

People keep saying illegal immigrants are taking our jobs. Whose jobs are they taking? I didn’t go to college to pick vegetables or work for minimum wage or less and I don’t understand how paying the figure that we are supposedly paying for in welfare would be any different then paying to house them in jail for 2 years. Is there not a better way?

Well, I've got a birth certificate that proves I was born here (Detroit). Both my parents also have birth certificates showing they were born here as did some of my grandparents. I've basically lived in Michigan my entire 36 years. True, I am not a member of any "Native" American tribe but how is it that I am considered a "foreigner" in the US by so many? In that case, aren't Native Americans also foreigners since they presumably came across the Bering Strait from Asia? Should we ALL just pack up and go "back to where we came from?" Hey- for me that would be Detroit wouldn't it? I guess I just don't understand this arguement of pro-illegal immigrants could someone please explain this point to me. I see this arguement made often against American citizens who oppose illegal immigration and I just don't get the point being made.
