i think the home office suppose to issue a valid visa to gurkhas before they enter to uk. they are really suffering from everyting in uk, just because they don't hold a legal entry clearance. it is illegal to enter to any country withou visa and why the home office is doing such a illegal action?

I think the UK has treated the Gurkhas very badly, they should be allowed legal citizenship without any problems, I think they have more than earned it.

It seems to me the British way is to use a people then wash their hands off them, the Protestant people of Northern Ireland is another example, despite years of being loyal to the UK they are now on the verge of being tossed into a United Ireland they don't want.

Many other examples from British history tell the same story, what a pity!

The cut-off-date of 1 July 1997 for the Gurkhas is NOT justifiable !

The Head Quarter Brigade of Gurkhas has officially moved from Hong Kong to the UK in 1995 !

The Gurkhas have saved us!

I think Gurkhas should be offered British cizenship. They sign up and train hard to fight as part of our Army and deserve this or dual nationality which ever they choose. Gurkhas have a reputation for being highly trained, incredibly fit and generally 'hard'.
