No one is a racist when all they want people to do follow the law. I want people of ALL colors to come into this country legally the way my ancestors did.
Not asking for much really...

We have controls on immigration for a reason. Social Security is already on it's last leg. We have been exporting Industrial jobs to growing nations and attempting to make the USA more if an Intellectual Capital provider, where are all the immigrants going to work? I'm sorry that every underprivileged person in the World wants to live in the USA, but we are doing all we can to improve their home nations while not 'giving away the farm' at home. There is a process for becoming a US Citizen, I have no problem with new citizen who follow the law. If you are such a bleeding heart, do you open your home to illegal aliens and feed and cloth them? If so, good for you. But I but you could only take in 2 or 3 and support them. What if they started sneaking in by the hundreds.. could you support them?? Well, they are sneaking in here by the Millions, and WE can't support them!

I do not know if a racist can have an argument since they are so flawed in their outlook from the start.
However, there are valid concerns over border security that should be addressed, and I think politicians have been hesitant to broach the topic for fear of being painted with the same brush as the racists, or worse, being endorsed by them. I think we need to really increase border patrols and security, at the same time we make the process to become a citizen easier, with proper documentation. There are a number of illegal immigrants in this country who do vital work, and do it well, but they must hide teir official existence and that prevents them from fully joining the metling pot which is America (learning English, heatlh car, proper wages). I hope this didn't make me sound racist, but it seems pretty logical to me.

Priority #1 - Stop the flood of aliens with whatever it takes: Fences, troops.
Priority #2 - Scale-down the quota of legal immigrants untill control of our borders has been acheived.
Priority #3 - Vote-out those who pander to the limitless greed of employers who eagerly exploit ILLEGAL aliens.
This is a domestic crisis that makes our Asian and Middle East concerns pale by comparison. Amnesty-schmamnesty - The matter of what to do about those illegals who are already here should go on the back-burner 'til we've solved Priorityt#1

The argument is not that at all (I'm not a racist by the way so don't go there). The argument is painfully simple...undocumented immigrants are in the USA ILLEGALLY. That's the only problem! Other than that, come on in.

There are plenty of arguments that are more valid.
Like we need to have an orderly method of immigration, not letting people crash the borders, which is unfair to those who play by the rules.
Like allowing the numbers we currently allow serves to undermine the status of the working class, who are forced to compete with subminimum-wage labor.
Like unrrestricted immigration is a Coprporate Subsidy, not merely in allowing them to undercut wages by exploiting immigrants, but also in the costs of social safety-net programs that compensate for they way they underpay labor.
My sister-in-law from India is darker than any Mexican. She APPLIED for residence. She played by the rules. She didn't crash the border. Everyone should do the same.

What is the question then? This is a statement.
That's better. Racists are exposed for what they are. Legislation will be put into place (of that I have no doubt) because it's a hot topic issue. However you'r niaeve if you believe this will stop racisim/prejudice. As civilized people you address your problems in the best fashion you know how and take steps to punish those who fail to conform to the standards set by society. or to be more specific. Standards set by thelaw.

Stop for a moment to consider that not everyone who opposes immigration is a racist. The biggest problem with immigration of any kind, from any country (or even from within this country), is uncontrolled population growth.
Population growth leads to a nexus of problems that have nothing to do with place of origin:
Pollution
Unemployment
Disease
Strain on services such as hopitals and schools
Depressed wages
Crime
Decreased literacy rates
Notice that none of these issues has anything to do with race. It's about crowding, overuse of resources, and poverty.
When you engage in name-calling, shouting "racist" at people with whom you disagree, you fail to hear their legitimate arguments.

I don't give a **** what thier skin color is or the language they spew.
I have seen too many Russians(white by the way) and Hungarians who will steal a food kitchen blind if you turn your back for a secong.
YES I HAVE seen them personally try to take more than their allowed share of bread and clothes milk, produce,as soon as the VOLUNTEERS try to help someone else. They get kicked out and here comes another one!
I guess if you feel the need to blame the ILLEGALS problems as a racist problem you are one sorry SOB>
YOU ARE NO AMERICAN!
