Very true. What is more ironic is the fact that all of these people who think they are better than everybody else have no leg to stand on. If they could, every one of them could trace their existence on this continent to an immigrant from Europe. Also the term immigrant applies to those who willingly migrate from one place to another. Let me remind you that the first Europeans that came out here were not necessarily the cream of the crop. In the most part, they were fleeing Europe, so they were actually refugees. Most were indentured servants, criminals, rapists, murderers, thieves so basically they were the scum of the Earth, Eurotrash if you will. Add to that the fact that they brought diseases that decimated Native Americans and you could say that they've been the scourge of this continent for centuries. Bringing over with them tuberculosis, diphtheria, and scurvy in their rotting bodies and its a wonder they didn't kill every Native American.
Welfare has a host of people in its rank and files other than immigrants. Immigrants have an excuse, lame one as it may be, but this is not their country. What possible excuse can a U.S. born citizen that grew up here have for being on welfare. Some people do need it unfortunately, but what about those other lazy good for nothing leeches? There are opportunities out there. What a national tragedy that they're on welfare in their own country. For shame!

we hate ILLEGAL immigrants. there is a difference.
plus, when the early immigrants arrived, they went out of thier way to learn english and adopt american culture and values.
now days the legals from mexico and the illegals want to act like this is still mexico, with the exception of the free handouts, the social services and the better wages.
they mostly come here just to live off the success of other americans and take advantage of our social system.
sure, not all do, but to big of a minority does, and in the end, its going to hurt everyone.
and no, i am not biased, heck, my wife is an immigrant, but she is a LEGAL one and she knows english pefectly well and is going to start college this fall which i paid for.

I truly do not think anyone hates immigrants. I DO think that most citizens of this country believe that people should come into this country legally, though. My ancestors were Irish, but they had to come thru Ellis Island, where they were sorted though to make sure they were not sick, criminal, or insane. If any of the later items were suspected, they were sent back to their country. I, for one, can not sneak into another country and expect to receive the same benefits of it's citizens.

Can you give us examples of hatred toward Legal immigrants? As far as I can see, other than a few loud mouth firebrands, most people simply want people to obey the laws we have established for for immigrating to the US.

Not really. I do find it ironic that Germany has become a nation of dark nationalities like Turks when Hitler was searching for the Danish look as the pure race. sometimes I think it is intentionally done to us by the powers that be to teach us lessons.

Not many hates immigrants. You are ridiculous once again. If this is how you behave than I see why you would be treated that way.
You went to college-that is a laugh.

We do not want illegal aliens in the USA, they are criminals. The USA does not need illegal aliens period.
What ever gave you the idea this nation hates legal immigrants?
Illegal aliens are the problem, they are destroying the USA... they should be in their own countries fighting for imporvement there.

I suppose it would be ironic if it were as simplistic as that...
In reality, we are a nation of laws. We don't require a national language, we don't require national service. All we ask is that you come here and respect our laws. What is so hateful about that?

It's ironic that you don't know the difference between legal and illegal.
Or should that be ignorant instead of 'ironic'?
