I am a White American. I have had friends from various cultures/races throughout my life (ie White,Black,Indian, various Asian and Mexican)because I respected their work-ethic, morality, etc. I love Mexico and encourage others to go there(check my Yahoo Answers)regularly.I am not "threatened" by immigrants and agree America needs immigrants to fill jobs in our economy. As other immigrants and American citizens, I agree most illegals work extremely hard.I am, however, against illegal immigration. Not that I think illegal Latinos mean any harm to Americans but America's enemies can find our borders easy to penetrate and I think both borders need to be secured.I also believe rampant illegal immigration is a drain on services paid from taxes of citizens and legal immigrants;in addition I feel uncontrolled immigration leads to lower wages/lack of jobs/etc for those legally in the US.I also think the US has the most liberal immigration policy and is more culturaly diversre than anywhere else.

rich white americans have everything .why are they still hating on immigrants. if immigrants do the jobs that americans don't want to do. probably some americans would say that they can also do the same jobs as them. maybe they would do it but the immigrant would do it faster and won't whine about anything.for me rich people don't appreciate what they have and they just talk all this crap about how their lives is so miserable. they don't know whats reality. im american with mexican heritage. very proud of being chicana. i think the people who criticize immigrants need to put themselves in their position and realized that is not easy living in a country where they awalys promising u that the economy is going to get better, when of course is not.and some dumb a$$eS in here don't know why they have so many children well the reason is because over there ignorancy revolves around them is not their fault. USA needs immigrants so stop hating. latinos are here to STAY.

Please do not ask questions with your answers as I can not add an unlimited amount of 'details' to answer them.
Please use your head and keep in mind that this question is in regards to the LAW.
For the sake of this question, you are unhappy with the life you have and decide to go to another country.
You are denied entrance.
The laws of the country that you wish to live in says that you cannot and that your very presence is punishable by fines, deportation, jail or let's say even death (this is hypothetical, after all)
What gives you the RIGHT (legal point) to break the law and go there anyway?
Who are you to place your own selfish desires above the laws of another sovereign land?
Who are you to take a job and not pay taxes, leech off of the government by forcing, through numbers, the hiring of bi-lingual workers, teachers and printing government forms in your language?

I'm imagining it's some kind of small fine. It should be a huge fine and jail time for repeat offenders.

When John McCain returned from Viet Nam,at least he knew he had a country to return to,Now if our president and our senate get their way,our soldiers will come back from Iraq and find out that all this time they have been putting their lives in harms way protecting freedom and the US way of life, while Bush,McCain,Kennedy,Reid and all the traitors in the senate were selling it away to mexico at less than flea market value

How MEDIEVAL would the American people get? The Poles and Austrians that collaborated with the Nazi weren't forced to do it, the Nazis gave them the freedom to do as they wished. Would Americans ghetto-ize illegals? Would they send them to camps?

2006-06-21 12:58:14 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

I ask this question because of a reply to a question that I saw. I as an American would be fine if there were just a few, then just documenting them, and having to pay fines as restitution for breaking our laws to get here.would be okay. Save me a dime or two, lol. But, there is one problem, there are millions, and in other countries just a few hundred would be considered an act of war by the invading nation. Americans are also beginning to see this invassion as an act of war. I would rather not go there, but to protect my country, I will do as my ancestors did, fight. Illegal aliens need to learn how to fight in their own countries, and earn their freedom there.

Snuck into your house, watched your TV , ate some of your food, and then when you saw me and screamed I said "Amnesty"?

2006-06-21 11:26:28 · 17 answers · asked by Richard M 3

For the sake of understanding look at your country as your own home.

would you allow a neighbor to break into yourhouse and live?
would you avail yourself of the LAW and have them removed?
does their desire to have a better life give them the RIGHT to break and enter and take what is yours?
Should you be forced to pay for their medical and education because they decided to live (uninvited and without your permission) in your house?

That is what illegal immigration does. How can anyone defend it?

People who are here illiegally should not be here. That is why they are called ILLEGAL Immigrants or aliens. I am not rascist towards mexicans. I just don't understand why people can support them 100%. Free health and no taxes. Come on. It is not just in the south. I see it in where I live in Michigan. I run social security # checks as part of my job. You would be amazed at how many mexicans who give me FAKE #s. I know a woman who married an ILLEGAL , not sure how thats possible, he just got deported for killing his brother. HELLO PEOPLE, WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

P.S. I know a lot of of nice hispanc people, some who are here illegally but that does not make it right for them to stay.

There are two reasons why a guest-worker program is emerging as the bipartisan consensus in Washington.

Guest-worker programs, by their very nature create a second class of workers in the United States. This would allow the means to lower wages and set lower industry standards across the board.

Second, guest workers can be used to weaken unions and prevent union organizing.

I understand why people want to come to the U.S. and I welcome legal immigrants. I just don't understand why so many people choose to come here illegally. (I'm not talking about criminals, the reason they enter illegally is obvious)
