I'm not an immigrant. 85% of the U.S. population are not immigrants. Why would you ask such a stupid question?

Once again, there is no such thing as a "native american" other than someone who was born in America. The so called "native americans" had ancestors who migrated to this land the same as everyone else. The only place that homo sapiens is native to is Africa. My ancestors came to north america in 1638. I don't see how being here for 500 generations is any different from 15 (or 1 for that matter).

I AM NOT AN IMMIGRANT! But if you want to be chronologically technical then everyone everywhere in the world except Africa would be an immigrant. We grew as a specie in Africa, we traveled coast lines looking for better places to live, and now hundreds of thousands of years later we're still doing the same thing, looking for a better place to live. I agree with whoever said that we pay for the country, we make the rules. That's a brilliant way of looking at it. I was born here and damn proud of it. I a world of borders and labels this should be easy to determine.

Not illegal immigrants.
And no. No one who was born here is an immigrant.
We subsidize school and other services for poor people, so we have to limit how many poor people can come. Since we built this place and we pay for it, we have that right. People do NOT have the right to decide to come illegally and steal the services, degrading them for our own people.
If there were fewer it wouldn't be such a problem. However, it is a huge number and a huge problem.

No, I was born here, vote here, pay taxes here. My father was an immigrant nearly 100 years ago. But - he immigrated legally!
Well? - that's a hole in the ground.

You have an interesting point- we all came from somewhere, right? but how far back do you go to make this point? 100 years? 500 years? And, the further back, the more right you have to be here?
