Yes, he was being racist. Unfortunately, people do not treat others in the way that they themselves want to be treated. His point has nothing to do with you, and is likely the result of the frustration he was feeling because of his alien status and the recent immigration ballyhoo. No he isnt worth you going to jail. Why dont people realize that they are being racially insensitive when comments like his are being made? Racism is not the one way street that most people believe it to be, and it is often an excuse for poor behavior.

First of all what was the cause of him saying that to you in the first place, and second if you feel like he was being racist what do you call it when you just used the word "wettback"? That's not racists??
You know if you didn't say that and be more of an adult in your question, then I would try to help you there, but I don't assoiciate with hipocrates! And yes I am "Latin", with a college education!

they are psuedo macho. they attack in groups and single out 1 person to attack. that to me is being a coward.

Alot of Mexicans have suffered abuse in the US and especially with the immigration stance as it is now alot of them hate us Yanks, I guess it made him feel better.

They are expendable trash with no respect. However, they can't figure out why we don't want them here. I'm glad you didn't do anything to get you put in jail. He probably will in time, though with that attitude.
