Isn't our money something that should remain constant?

Can't we keep what we got? I liked the Suzy B's just fine. They should have kept them. They were ideal for vending machines. Great when you cash a five dollar bill instead of a million quarters and nickels.

First there were the big heads, then the different colors; they changed the quarters and then the nickels.

Now they want a multitude dollar coins. One for each President. I can't wait for the Hillary coin ! Oh Boy.

I have posted 2 questions within the past hour...please read
When we don't like the way something is done in this country what do we do?
Why do we sit in silence?
Why do we mutter away on here and not be proactive in what we believe in?
I have a cause that effects the tax payer, the likes of me and you.
Why do we not stand up and say ' ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?'

What was Thomas Jefferson opinion on how to deal with Islamic terrorists? Did he have one? Were there Islamic terrorists at the time?

Cite references please, no blogs or articles. We need actual reference material, books, documents or other source materials to understand what Thomas Jefferson's opinion was on exactly how we should approach Islamic terrorists who torture and kill United States citizens.

The use and processing of ethanol is raising the price of corn which in turn is raising the price of corn based food products. This is especailly harming poor people who, in the past, have used corn as an inexpensive food source.

Bush's speech on immigration (wonder why it has been such a big focus issue in the news lately) to discuss the need for quote a "BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGIC...TECHNOLOGY" for 20 million immigrants. His administration is pushing for human implantable microchips for immigration, to protect us from "terror". Applied Digital Solutions the company that manufactures Verichip openly endorses implanting babies, the elderly, businessmen etc. They stand to make MILLION$ chipping Americans like animals! With all Labooors talk about encouraging social mobility in the UK, has any one noticed that its really going on - DOWNWARDS.

I feel that for many of us who have studied and worked hard from ordinary backgrounds and "come off the shop floor", we are punished with massive taxation and drops in living standards if we happen to put our meagre money int our house rather than drinking it and going on holiday.

It seems to me that I would have been better off being single and having lots of kids and just sat on my rear. Why does Labooor (and lets be honest the Tories were similar) hate hard working honest people.

Iam not especially political and realise change can be a good thing but this government has treated many very very shabilly whilst it pursues its soviet style social engineering agenda.

No wonder we are leaving in droves.

Any way, educate me in case I've got it wrong and I am slipping in to a kind of middle england paranoia. I would really value your honest opinion

Today at the Georgia State Capital we had "Family Day". The average working stiff can go and talk about the issues affecting the family because of our state government policies and procedures.

One hot topic was health care insurance for the poor. Medicaid Peachcare, insurance for the working poor's children (statistically most of the poor work here in Georgia) is going to fall so short-funded, that the state wants to cut 100,000 to 150,000 CHILDREN off the program and stop all new enrollment (approx. 150,000-200,000 are eligible but not enrolled) to save money and bring Medicaid into budget. This is "necessary" because the Federal USA government is declining to fund the difference.

However, one of the issues on the table is that the state of Georgia has decided to spend several Million dollars building Boat Ramps for Fishing to attract better tourism. Yea, you got it ... it's "The Trickle Down Effect". Because Tourism dollars improves any economy.

The Bush administration thwarted the independent investigation for 18 months, what are they trying to hide...and why does it not bother very many people? Shouldn't they have worried less about covering their you know what and instead trying to find out what really happened so that a) the true masterminds could be brought to justice and b) something like that would never happen again?

Your thoughts?

I have found those who support the war always talk about dying as a necessary evil. There were no compassion for those who were displaced or killed by the war.

To start a war based on one person and results in tens of thousands being killed and millions being displaced and a country in turmoil, not to mention the financial burden on the US and destruction to Iraq, is in no way justified.

If oil was not the issue but freeing a nation is, then why isn't America invading N. Korea yet?

At first I was shocked -- but now I say who cares. Did you know:

1. No country gives more money to poor countries every year?
2. No country accepts more of the worlds unwated poor immigrants?
3. No country has freed more people from tyranny -- including WWI, WWII, South Korea, East Europe, Afganistan, and now trying in iraq.
4. We have the power to take what we want but we dont. We want out of iraq, not in.
5. We are the first to provide disaster aid.
6. We gladly share our the worlds best universities with the worlds students.
7. We gladly let other countries join us in space.
8. We sholder the burden of the defense of most of the world -- including europe, the pacific rim, and much of the americas.
9. We provide the most food aid for africa.
10. no country spends more on AIDS research.

on and on. do you understand this? oh, right you hate the USA 'cuz we're trying to bring democracy to Iraq. right?
