I agree that the two-party system bites large time but a true democracy is essentially mob-rule. Our representative republic works pretty good for the most part but we do need more choices.

I would loooove to see a 3rd party, if it could just launch strongly enough to win, instead of just splitting the other parties. So many Republicans have become extreme conservatives, and a lot of Democrats have become extreme liberals--wouldn't it be nice if there were a place for the Centrists to vote?
