IAS is a legacy of the British administration system which was used for collecting taxes and controlling the masses in the vast colony that was India.

In this day and age why do we need a system which takes good, smart people gives them a good education and consign them to the mercy of politicians? Why can't we have a system of open recruitment of professionals for government service that is not one-way (i.e. people can choose to shift easily from government service and private sector and vice versa)?

I'm curious why this topic is brought up and I mention all the facts pertaining to a cover-up, but people still insist we are nuts?. All of the sudden, everyone oppossed to the idea of the goverment's involvement gets extremely rude and nasty. I ask because even though the facts I may show will and can be substantiated, the only offering I get from the opposition is what was played on fox news. So my question is why such hostility for someones own opinion even if its not your belief?

Serous question. The old plan was we'd train Iraqis and then leave when they are strong enough to clean up the mess. Now the new plan is... the same, right?

If, hypothetically, Conservative* win next election by a landslide, gaining a majority in the commons...

But David Cameron fails to win in his constituency, thus not being an MP, will he still be able to be our Prime Minister, nad if not him, who?

I am a graduate of University of Liverpool with a 1st class honours and in the top 10 of my class, I am pursuing a career in dentistry. I have strong moral principles and can express myself with ease. I believe in returning this country to a democracy free of corruption and scandal and making all who rightfully reside here equal.

I understand the neccessities of the masses and believe I can manage their needs with the reliable and stable government legislation. I have a good understanding of economics, and have ideas on how to improve home and forgein policies.
