I'm curious why this topic is brought up and I mention all the facts pertaining to a cover-up, but people still insist we are nuts?. All of the sudden, everyone oppossed to the idea of the goverment's involvement gets extremely rude and nasty. I ask because even though the facts I may show will and can be substantiated, the only offering I get from the opposition is what was played on fox news. So my question is why such hostility for someones own opinion even if its not your belief?

LeAnne- I have not seen scientific proof that the facts are true about a "cave dweller" asking NORAD to stand down. That story is whats reported through the media, it has no credibility.

Great Question! I too have been trying to understand why some people refuse to acknowledge what really happened on 9/11.
People are not stupid. If you present the information in a well prepared format, fully documented, with indisputable evidence, they will see the truth for what it is. There is a catch, even if they see the truth, few may be willing to accept it, as the truth, because it goes against what authority figures have told them.
It would seem we have about 2/3 of our population that have been conditioned to believe and obey what authority figures say, even if it flies against their better judgment for fear of repercussions. In a word, they have been "Broken" by the system, and are now being "Played" by the system.
Think about it !
* As a child, you have to believe and obey in what your parents tell you or you will be punished. Ouch!
* As a student, you have to believe and obey in what your teachers tell you or you will be punished. Ouch !
* As a youth, you have to believe and obey in our police or you will be punished. Ouch!
* As a young adult, you have to believe and obey government officials or you will be punished. Ouch!
* As an employee, you have to believe and obey in your superiors or you will be punished. Ouch!
* As a soldier, you have to believe and obey in your superiors or you will be punished. Ouch !
Few people get through this "Gauntlet" without being broken or at least without incredible fear of authority. How some people manage to stand up to authority after that conditioning seems to defy logic. These people have an inner strength that keeps them sticking to their guns, even in the face of danger. These people will not "cow": They are the "stallions": They are the "Apache" (so proud to live): They are the "unbreakable": They are the ones who demand,
"GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH !"

No hostility here.
The fact is, there are alternate versions for about any event you can conjure up - this is what spawns conspiracy theories - but there can only be one true, verifiable and accurate accounting of any particular event. The rest is opinions, conclusions, out right lies, bogus "facts", hype and agenda bolstering.
The Islamic terrorists were responsible for the events of 9/11. This is the logical conclusion - based on the terror, acts of war, threats, objectives and the evidence presented after the event.
There are invariably numerous unanswered questions whenever a complex event such as 9/11 occurs, but there are no verifiable or valid facts presented thus far that supports your contention. No "smoking gun", so to speak.
And, for what it's worth, have you considered that the hostility you speak of may be due to the nature and personnel grief and suffering that this event caused? If you had lost a loved one in this tragedy, how would you feel about it being trivialized by bogus "facts", op-blogs, fictional movies and out right disrespect for the people who were directly affected by it?

Probably because it is simply an idiotic thing to do! EVERYONE has seen the footage ad-nauseam and to start trying to suggest a warped hindsight conspiracy about such an event is just simply socially unacceptable and Insane! If it was just the Towers, people might even give it a listen, but with the failed attempt on the White House/ Washington area and the attack on the Pentagon, you are way out in left field with all of the rest of the Loony Left!
Coupling your ridiculous theories with the assertion that the Jews were involved and Bush's family"s ties with the Sa'udi Families only goes to show that it is purely hate filled partisan drivel!
So, now would you please just STFU!

Your opinion is disregarded because it's ridiculous! Despite what you proclaim, conspiracy theory "facts" CANNOT be substantiated, and the cause of 9-11 - terrorist attack or your theorized governmental cover-up - is not really up to opinion or beliefs. The events of that day happened a certain way, and that's that. Just because you can say "9-11 happened because the government planted a bomb in the towers" (or something outlandish like that) doesn't make it correct. It's not an opinion, it's a fallacy.

The truth is so shocking that people simply choose NOT to believe it outright without ANY consideration, thus choosing a life of denial and herd mentality. Each to their own, history will be our judge.
