It seems now days that regardless of what the U.S. does, it will be wrong.
Sanctions against the U.S.??? What are the other nations going to do - stop excepting foreign aide from us? Get real.
Your question is based on the premise that the U.S. is going to abandon Iraq - the same premise the terrorists planned on after the November elections - Surprise! - we're now thumping the dirt bags in Somalia and ramping up to do the same in Iraq.
New policy for the terrorists:
If you have a mind to crash planes into skyscrapers, better do it in France or Spain and stay the hell out of the countries that will respond with serious consequences.

You really need to stop watching TV news and start reading the news from around the world. The USA news is at least 3 days behind.

One other thing, with the hand outs that the USA gives you have to be kidding. If anyone should be screaming it should be the taxpayers that are supporting all of the other countries in the world.

Other nations have known for a long time how bad the US govt is. Sanctions? No, there won`t be any as many nations have no vote in the UN. Just pray for a better govts in the future.

We have to wait until Bush surges into Baghdad and just before the election pull out and claim "I win" and the civil war will return but get covered up by elections or some lost suburban white girl story.

No as we have veto power! Why would they want to anyway, none of them want us there!
Their civil war is a direct consequence of our invasion, however, their civil war will be settled just like ours was! It isn't up to us to settle it!
