We vote, we lose, we bash-it's the American Way!

I've voted every election since I was 18, and have rarely seen anyone in the Presidency that I have voted for...only a couple of times has the Federal Senator that I voted for been elected...but most of the State and Local representatives I vote for are elected, thank goodness! I say, you can't whine, if you don't vote.

But you can see why many don't bother to vote...only about 50% of Americans have voted in the last decade, since it's not compulsory like in Australia, where the voting rate is 95%.

I wish we were required to vote in the United States...I think the results would be very different than what we have to live with...

The great thing about the US is that whether you vote or not, you still have the right to bash you government/president if you choose. I am probably one of the few people in support of our president. I will say in answer to your question though that voting has nothing at all to do with the ability to agree or disagree with what our president is doing. That to me is such an assinign thought held by so many people. For all of you who I know are going to disagree with me, why don't you all just go research the electoral college and what that is all about and then convince yourself how important it is for us to vote.

No, just on here. The people who have a life do not react this way. They do things, they vote, they work. They also realize the deficit is at an all time low, the interests rates are excellent. Troops have died because of mistakes, but troops die for every president. Look at JFK, LBJ etc.

voting is a freedom of choose lazy has nothing to do with it. Bush bashing is freedom of speech and everyone that wants to can do that no matter if they vote or not.

People in America can speak their minds about the Political Parties in office. They can say whether they agree or disagree. That is what makes this America. Freedom of Speech is a guarantee in this country. The president hears the people, he is the public servant, same as Congress and Senate. Have a problem lodge a complaint with your representative. I sure hope it stays this way for a long time to come.

... so... what is the national sport of the 48 percent of America that voted for Kerry?

to hear you guys talk, it sounds like Bush won by a 40 percent margin... instead of a 3 percent margin...

but yes... Bush is so bad, 48 percent of the nation though KERRY would be better...

that's pretty bad...

oh, and I think they did vote last Nov.

I voted and I bash. If I don't like the next one, I'll bash him or her too. I'm an AMERICAN. That's my right.

I always vote and I feel it is my right to complain about Bush. He's made a lot of mistakes and I don't agree with most of his policies. That's American.

Bush bashing is probably patriotism given what Bush has done to the country (and its image and finances) but people should vote/
