Property taxes generally fund your local school district and municipalities.

Cities generally don't charge a sales tax but a 1-3% wage tax which they use to provide services in the city such as maintenance, police and civic services.

Sales tax is generally collected on a state level and used to manage state services, courts, police and maintenance.

Above came from another answer regarding the use of sales tax. So is the 1-3% wage tax this person is referring to, the state income tax? If so, why would that figure vary, the percentage I mean? Isn't that an apportioned tax? Why would each city vary the percentage?

My God, there is NO WAY that 40 to 60% of the people support George W TRAITOR Bush. Talk to anyone on the street. NO ONE supports the @$$clown. Online, especially on Yahoo, people are being paid to spew support from their @$$holes for the @$$clown. So, do you laugh at the paid answerers as much as I do?

You hear the Republican's say that alot but why? How do you know what Gore or Kerry would have done surrounded by the best and the brightest. As we saw with Bush, the President often doesn't make the decisions, his people does, he just choose the best one out of a few. How do people know how these other two men would have done? Why do you think Bush is the lesser of the two evils?

ANYONE who still believes this drunkard TRAITOR is freaking idiot.

3,000 PLUS, MURDERED on 9/11/2001

6,000 Iraqis killed in May and June

3,500 killed in July alone

2,700 US soldiers killed

100,000 innocent Iraqis killed

19,700 Us soldiers PERMANENTLY maimed

500,000 Iraqis displaced

0 WMD's found (ZERO)

Osama "bin Forgotten" STILL free (as if there is any reason to even hunt him)

If you're part of the 28 percent who STILL support this TRAITOR in the White House then YOU'RE the problem.

It is a fact that terrorists are using women and children as a means to accomplish terror activities. Terrorists have no respect for life, and now they are using liquid explosives.

How many of you feel that ALL carry on baggage should be banned, with the exception of wallets and prescription medication?

If this is done, do you believe that the chances of a plane going down due to terrorism would be almost non existent?

Are you willing to sacrifice carry on luggage for safety?
